I meant does he know what he's going to get. It's rhetorical obviously. No one who voted leave was told what they were going to get in the event of it happening. Mos likely scenario looks like a grovelling act whereby very little changes except it'll probably cost more to have zero influence on EU decision making.

I'm not sure yet which Party is going to go for the 48% pro remain vote. I know the lib dems are talking about it but not sure they could bounce back that quick.

Labour can't or they'll piss of their heartland.

Buyers remorse will put the figure over 60% imo after the impact of the recession (yes) and holidays are felt. Plus maybe this time the young may be motivated to get off their arses and vote.

However, I simple can't see any credible political party emerging in the time scales involved .

Depends when the general election is. Listening to the Tory MO's I can't see one happening before 2020. They already have a majority and I'm not sure why they would risk losing it.

You're going to be asking a lot more of your beloved rhetorical questions.

Yes, like this one: you don't know what you voted for, do you?

He's not the solution to a United Labour Party but seeing as the entire uk pretty much think they're not fit for purpose whoever is leading them then its all a bit irrelevent

Let the split happen, if enough of the Blairites go to the Lin Dems they may stand a chance next year on a complelty pro Europe ticket, I think the last week has scared enough of the Brexit voting "persuaderbles" that this is a bad idea and maybe there'll be another austerity friendly hung parliament

Jezzas mob needs someone in their thirties who's not a career politician that has the wit charm and charisma to make a good anti neo liberalism case to the people of all the UK. Fuck knows who's daft enough to take that on though...

Owen Jones has to decide now if he's going to be remembered as a political activist or a politician. He's the left's best hope.

Shit! If only I'd thought to explain my decision several times over the last fortnight in this very thread.

Okay, do you want continued access to the single market at the expense of accepting free movement of people, or do you want control of our borders at the expense of us leaving the single market?

I think he's great but I don't think the UK electorate is ready for a gay, socialist pm

You've completely missed the point, you half-wit

Tbf no brexiter did, which is a point Remain were hopelessly ineffective at capitalising on.

It's fair to say I've seen and heard much better arguments for remaining since the vote. (Such as the link HF posted, Meenzers tweet and tv discussions), which basically highlight how silly the scare campaign was.

I've made that very clear. I'm not reposting every comment.

Exactly. The Remain side were so complacent they didn't bother asking these pertinent questions. Still, it's hard to sympathise with people who trust Boris Johnson, Nigel Farage or The Sun to tell them the truth.

You seem like you wanted, erm - how can I put it? "Business as usual", which hardly makes your vote a logical decision irrespective of the outcome. It's almost like you're contrary for the sake of it.
