Your lass is bare-arse farting on your eye while you sleep. Not a doubt in my mind.

More likely Callum. 🙂

Blepharitis? I wrote a guideline on this in another lifetime.

I might pop down to the pharmacy.  I have been avoiding wearing my contact lenses and doing what that says.  Warm compress.

I think last few weeks have been irritating me and I have been rubbing my eye more so maybe just an infection.

Just walked into the pharmacy. Absolutely nobody in.  I asked can someone look at my eye. Bloke said 'Sorry I am the only pharmacist in and fully booked up'  I looked around and just laughed.  Looked at him and asked when is the next availability to be told to look online.

Feeling incredibly shit for the past few months with tiredness, runny nose and brain fog, occasional pins and needles and thirstier than usual. Thought it was a side effect of the medication for the tinnitus / omeprazole for the GERD but came off them and no better, also thought it was a side effect of 3 young bairns :D. I have one that is up at 5:30 every morning, comes into our room then I cant get back to sleep.

My gut is that its possibly Type 2 diabetes so going to ring the GP tomorrow if I can get an appointment. Brother had pre-diabetes just before his heart attack 10 years ago (genetic, im in the clear on that front!) Have had a full blood count done in the last few weeks with the GERD, thyroid and all clear.

Wife has told me to man up and do more exercise :D

Got tests back, got full works done, full blood count, thyroid, iron, Magnesium, B12 all look normal, so I don't have diabetes :D

Inflammation (CRP and ESR both slightly elevated) about 12 and 15 but doc off today and not seen the results but back on Mon, so asked if she would give me a call. Could well be post viral fatigue / long covid if everything else looks normal. No real evidence of ME / MS / MND in the family so fairly confident it isnt that :D

Was feeling grand with the wee man for the match on Weds, we walked 25k steps on Weds, stood most of the game in LWC L7 and 17k steps yesterday, absolutely fecked today mind you! Sleeping and eating well.

A stop-loss for both hairloss and libido that stuff! Thought you might have went there with the hair complaints I read about and obviously no need for libido if you're between wives

  • 1 month later...

I saw my nuero consultant last week who has tweaked my meds.  I saw him private as we are covered through my wifes company.  I got a copy of a letter he sent my GP on Friday.  I have just tried to call my GP's surgery to see when I can get my updated meds.  I was on the phone 30 minutes and just gave up.  The NHS is fucked.  It truly is.  Thanks you tory CUNTS

Not what's wrong with me directly, but my cousin who's been battling cancer for the past few years looks to have lost the fight. Doctors have stopped treatment and it's now just about saying goodbye. Awful for my Aunt and Uncle who lost their son last year to suicide and now not even 12 months later they're going to lose their daughter to cancer. She's only a year older than me as well, she's going to leave two daughters.

Trying to be helpful as I can, but they live in Aberdeen so there's not a lot I can do. Mind, even if they were close by there's fuck all I can do anyway.

My mam called earlier to let me know my Dad's back in hospital because he had 3 seizures through the night. One is manageable for my mam, but 3 means a trip to hospital for observation and 10hrs kicking about at best. All the while my mam's going to be worried for her sister, and feeling guilty because they're not up there giving support.

Fuck all of this. I'm going to sit in the garden, drink a can of poncey IPA, eat a bowl of left overs and listen to some good music in the sunshine.

That’s awful Dave 🙁 So much to be dealing with at the same time and you must feel helpless and very far away. Your garden solution sounds like exactly the right thing to do. Look after the things you can control and prepare yourself for the things you can’t. Much love to you all.
