Bedsheets getting a good airing tonight

Seems like Pardew is goung to get all the blame for the players lack of effort for your club again

Surprise, surprise. A few decent results and they all come crawling back out of the woodwork. Where the fuck were you a few weeks ago?

It was just an observation about the blame on Pardew

Top half of the table until your players went into holiday mode

A fine performance tonight I thought, excellent stuff. And the manager? Wow, what an awesome example of tactical genius he is, if he can keep up such amazing feats next season we might even match our lovable Wearside neighbours for league position... or, dream of dreams, achieve what they couldn't in an exciting relegation.

 Did Pardew really just say "the lads showed good character going out in that second half, after the run we've had." What? as opposed to just stopping in the changing room.

Sissoko was really poor in defence today. Plenty of times he strutted back lethargically. Ben Arfa would have recieved an absolute panning from Carver et al for that kind of a showing. Such a blatant inequality in their mindset.

I am wallowing in the panning GNev and Carra are hurling at us. Glorious for our failings to get so much air time. Pardew was not be impressed.

And Neville just undid all his hard work rolling out the tired old cliches about our support. NH we'd rather not lose 3-0 or 7-3, we'd rather win. No, we'd rather not have any "madness", we'd very much like a committed side, with a clear game plan capable of winning games and a manager who doesn't seek negativity, reduced expectations and who has no clue how to tweak a team mid game to improve our chances of winning.

Carragher isn't a bad pundit

He's not great, even putting the accent aside. Look at how he analysed the Giroud goal compared to Neville, he pretty much offered nothing.

In fairness that's not what he said. He said we'd rather be beaten 7-3 than coast through a game anonymously as we did tonight.

I'd rather him than redknapp/lawro/shearer or most of what btsport offer (james richardson and the euro show lads aside)

Being inoffensive seems to be all it takes for a lifetime job on as a pundit on UK football coverage.
