Love Riviere's energy but he has zero control. Agree Cabella will be fun to watch. Janmaat will have to readjust to playing talent the caliber of Man City.

Think when DeJong and Tiote are back they will look much improved.

And yeah, need someone else up with Rivière.

Thoughts:

Dummett hasn't got a right foot at all has he? Incredible he is a premier league player with that much vulnerability on his weaker foot.

Williamson and Colo on the goal - one of them got sucked in too much. You didn't need to cover him and we got punished with that lovely ball to slot in Silva.

Early thoughts on Riviere: is strong, powerful, fast, and completely insane footballing intelligence wise. Needs to calm down, though I think some contributing factors may be it is his home league debut as well as he is at times a bit isolated up there.

Cabella looks canny but is trying for the harder option sometimes when the easier option may be more fruitful. Shit hair.

Colback has done well to break up play and distribution has been good. Would like to see him get forward a little more but he is doing a job.

Need to utilise the counter attacks better and get some more supporting positions when Riviere actually does get the ball to his feet in the final third.

Williamson has played pretty well IMO. Riviere doesn't deserve to be hooked, if we don't make any inroads he should be given a partner to play alongside. It's Alan Pardew so it's a given that he'll make a tactical left back substitution.

We need to get more into the MC box when attacking. Mainly RIviere plus a late runner to attack the ball, which is far too easy to defend against,

Surprisingly not bad, apart from Dummett. Lad is such a trained player, who goes through all the basics and cannot seem to think for himself. Always a simple pass, long one back to Krul or channel ball. A bit like Danny Simpson in that regard. I get that he's so conditioned that he has decent positional awareness and can tackle a bit, but fullback are such an important position in many more ways than that.

Does Sissoko prefer to play wide or in the middle?

Commentator claiming he prefers the wide role which I've always thought he was willing to do but didnt prefer.

Dumment should've scored then I think, got a good head to it.

Colbacks devliery is good when hes whipping them in not floating them to williamson.

Nasri over the line in the wall, why have the spray if players can just wander over it?

On the strength of that he can keep his pen licence.

Its an important quality, ref in the Arsenal game yesterday managed to spray half his can on Cazorlas face
