Head....WTF is it with the Aussies and moustaches? A mate who I grew up with left for Australia in 2011 (I met the now semi-permenent Mrs PL a month after he left-go figure ) and he now sports a mo very similar to the titular batsman currently flaying England's bowlers as we speak. They look RIDICULOUS

Aye, I've never understood it. I'm pretty sure @toonotland @OTFare rocking ridiculous taches as well tbf. They seem the sort.

Heads have got to roll after this. undercooked, overly arrogant, a frontline spinner who isn't trusted to have a bowl, wicket-taking quicks whose bodies aren't up for the task. McCullum out

 

I'd give Stokes a bit longer as captain. He's one of the few to show a bit of fight with the bat and I think he's got enough of a brain to oversee a reset and enough of an ego to not want to go out like this. 

 

But is his body up to another couple of years? And if not, who replaces him? It can't be Brook after his arrogant batting approach this series, can it?

Stokes can realistically only stay if he plays as a batsman (the number 3 position is surely available now) as his body is clearly not up to the task of bowling as well.  There has to be a dramatic rethink now surely.  Crawley, Pope, Wood, Carse, Bashir, Jacks all either aren't good enough or (in Wood's case unfortunately) fit enough and there's big question marks over Tongue and Smith (as a keeper at least).  Bazball at first struck me as a way of trying to play to the strengths of the players we have available but they've taken it far too far.  Being positive is great but playing stupidly isn't going to get us anywhere.  We need to respect the way the game has to be played because there's a reason that's what's worked for centuries.  Australia away is always going to be tough, but we're making it much more difficult than it should be (against their current team) by poor preparation, poor selection and the arrogance coming out of the whole setup.
