Just heard that Roy Ayers died last week, aged 84.
Fucking legend.

Here’s him at 77 doing a Small Desk Concert.

He does a tasty version of his most well-known track from 16:00 onwards, but if you can’t be arsed with that, here it is

Is this Big George or one of his five sons that he also named George Foreman?

Sad news tbh, he seemed such a nice bloke outside of pummelling the buggery out of lads.

It's as well he's died, I don't know how he would have picked just one to take to the town Moor.

Well… if he just put “George Foreman” as the kids name, he could get at least 5 in, and maybe Georgette.

Also, who the fuck would stop him?

I saw him at the MGM when I went to see Prince Naseem get his face kicked in. Wandering about the casino, surrounded by some blokes that were even bigger than him.

The fucking size of his arms- can you imagine even a mild slap off him, never mind a fully weighted punch?

My dad boxed in his youth (Northumberland/Newcastle schools champion one year) and in the navy on his nat service. I always remember when I was a kid I said what would it be like to be hit by a pro, he just said "you wouldn't feel it" ... Pause ...."because you'd be dead". 😂
