FAILURE.

Honestly at this stage it's starting to look like user error to me. Do you have a younger person in your life who can sit with you throughout the process?

my 100% failure rate in this season's ballot continues

penultimate game in what'll be a 25 home game season. making the wild assumption that I don't get one for everton either, I'll have applied for every one and got 2, a success rate of 8%

effectively adding another £18.50 on top of a £50 ticket.

The club readily admit that if you apply for every home game you will win 2-3 on average. Your best bet is to refresh the website every day for a fortnight and hope you're fastest finger first on a spare appearing. Which is mental

I’ve managed 5 - Brentford, AFC Wimbledon, Wolves, Fulham and Palace. I think I’ve very much had beginners luck with it though - as as a disproportionate amount of mid-week matches.

If the club wanted they could buy every ticket on these websites and cancel the ST/membership of the cunts trying to keep proper fans out of the stadium.

i'd rather not buy tickets from the tout websites but unless you have a ST it is sometimes the only way to get a ticket. the system is fucked.

I would guess there's little difference between what the club makes between season  ticket holders and members already.

say 33,000 season ticket holders paying and average of £650 = £21.45m

membership price either £37 or £47 so call it £40 × 100,000 = £4m

roughly 14,000 match day tickets at an average of £60 × 19 games = £16m

total = £20m

ok these are rough, ball park figures but I doubt they're a million mile away.

a low category game has gone from £34 3 years ago to £47 now, getting on 40%, a digital.membership was £25 3 years ago, now the minimum is £37.

I saw a truefaith editorial by michael martin a few weeks back bemoaning an average £3.40 per game increase on season tickets, my heart fucking bleeds for the cunt, it really does and you can guarantee exactly what the club will be thinking on receiving a complaint... don't like it? don't buy it.

canny article here about @LondonBlue' man city lot.protesting a lack of increase in season ticket capacity, hat doffed to them, if the same thing happens here (which it will) in the event they expend/new stadium we'll do fuck all, because we've got the most lily livered supporter base on the planet.

a peaceful protest i might add. we're not scousers after all.

i think a lot of this is down to PSR, etc forcing clubs to squeeze every penny out of every source.

i looked at going to wembley this weekend, but to take my daughter it was going to cost over £200 for rubbish seats at a semi final. not even a final.

i'm one of the many city fans in the fortunate position of having been to wembley a crazy number of times in the last 10 years.

so, right or wrong, i've decided to watch it on tv instead,

hopefully one day you guys will suffer wembley burnout too (just not at out expense)

  • 1 month later...

to whom it may concern, or for those amongst us who are in the very fortunate position of being in the membership/ballot scheme...

anybody else have £37 come out of their account yesterday?

I never opted in to an auto renewal scheme.

I've never had an email saying they were going to take money for 25/26

I've never had an email confirming they've took £37

I've never had an email confirming I'm a member for 25/26

there's nowt on my online account/profile to suggest I'm a member for 25/26

there's nowt on the website about membership renewals other that 'news coming soon'

there's nowt on the website in regard to any pricing changes or any changes to balloting/general sale for you to consider when possibly making a purchase.

the cheeky CUNTS have just taken £37 unannounced and the only way you'd know is if you'd happened to spot it on your online banking.

one thing to note, last year if you bought a ticket as a member and couldn't make the match they wouldn't refund your money only apply a credit to your account.

should they revert back to a ballot only system and they refuse to refund my £37 they've effectively stolen then suddenly thete becomes a clear and immediate answer to the new ground/extension conundrum, because I'll burn the current fucker down.

There was a lot of talk about it on socials yesterday where others noticed £37 had been taken. Quite a lot of responses suggested the small print on sign-up advised you had to opt-out of auto renewal and that they provided a date on when this would happen.

12 monthly memberships are seemingly not the done thing these days, it’s all about auto-renewing subscription services.

It will be in some small print somewhere as its very commonly used. You have to opt out. And everyone I know who has a membership received an email in the last 2 weeks telling them it was happening.
