He's gone fair enough, but think he could have been a good option for us. I could understand the trippier one more. i don't want to sell him either but if BM offer something daft in the region of £20m then it would be hard to turn down from a FFP perspective as it would free up money to spend in this window in areas where we're short and Tino can step in to replace him. It would also be hard to deny Trippier the opportunity to potentially win more trophies at the tail end of his career in Germany if his heart is set on it. I'm struggling to see the benefits in losing Lascelles for peanuts when our reserve options at CB are Burn, who has looked very poor in that position this season, and Krafth, who will do a job but is essentially a full back playing out of position, when the transfer fee for Lascelles plus his Ashley-era wages will have little impact on our ability to invest in this window.
