In fairness to Fat Frank Everton look very solid so far this season. And he's managed to fashion a team with comparatively little outlay in the transfer window. In the battle of the golden generation midfielders he's easily doing a better job than Gerrard at present. Still early in the season though obviously, but you'd think Gerrard will be sacked sooner than later if Villa's form doesn't take a steep upturn very soon.

Think I’ve said it before but Lampard seems clever enough to know that he couldn’t come into Everton and play like he did at Chelsea and Derby and more pragmatism was required and is trying to play to their strengths so he’s got that going for him at least. Referee was Andy Madley (VAR for our match at Liverpool) and VAR was Jared Gillett (referee for our match against Man City).
