I personally don't think there's much between them. Barnes is more humble.

I found the on pitch interview at Villa Park with Gordon annoying. He was asked something about playing the role of emergency striker and he made reference to the fact he wants to play there. Sorry like, he's not good enough to be a consideration in that position for us. Response should have been - I'm more than happy to do the job that's asked of me

Weird thing to be annoyed about.

One of our players suggesting they'd prefer to play in a position where they're clearly not up to the standard we need?

OK.

Barnes is a far, far better finisher than Gordon. Barnes might be the best finisher in the team at the moment, Nick aside.

I'd agree that Barnes offers more this season.

Agree with that but there was a time when Gordon was at his best here when he was curling in quality finishes from the left every other week. He was instrumental to so much good that we were doing and complemented Isak really well by dragging out defenders and creating space. I think he's just not been right since being sent off before the cup final. Overall he offers more than Barnes but he's got to try and find some sort of form, at the moment Barnes should start.

It's weird but I both agree and disagree with this. For some reason when Barnes starts he tends to be less effective. He does deserve to start though. As well as being a good finisher Barnes is also an effective crosser of the ball, in particular the floated cross to the back post.

Hope it was worth it Alex. lol

All getting what they deserve, player and supporters. He threw away the chance to become a legend for the greatest club in the world and gets no sympathy from me for the way he handled his exit. Meltdowns are a fucking joy to read, keep them coming please!

They're spread a bit thin at the moment between reacting to the game, wanting Slot out, and Isak. I'll check in again later.
