Howe has switched the midfield three around to get Willock and Longstaff in their normal positions. It needed to happen because we were losing a grip of things in midfield. At least with Willock and Longstaff in their familiar position we can maybe rely on those usual linkups in the channels.

That was terrible from ASM. Willock has a right to expect him to move at least an inch toward the pass there and he instead stood there like a statue. So then Willock is out of position and gives up a free kick and a card. Maxi must be close to getting hoyed off at halftime.

 

And we nearly concede from a free kick again! That's just concentration levels being low. This is our worst home performance for a while now and it's so disappointing after a brilliant start to the match. We've fallen off a cliff.
