Copilot here.

It's terrible.

We do too, and I've never once used it for anything.

If I could ban AI content on here I would honestly, it produces absolutely fuck all of value.

Can’t find an existing thread on this.

Just been down the rabbit hole by way of Diary of a CEO interviews.

Seems as though this is going to be brutal, very quickly for an awful lot of people and governments haven’t even begun to plan for how to pay for the mass unemployed that will be created. We don’t have the money to pay for what we need now.

They are talking about 70% of jobs in many industry’s being able to be replaced  by 2030.

They also knock on the head the computer revolution thesis, “people will just program, prompt etc”, as AI will also be able to do that better.

Will it just be more people, getting paid less to do the real dirty stuff that AI can’t? IE Everyone becomes, domestic plumbers, electricians etc working for peanuts.

Scary stuff

What happens to all of the consumers on which these billionaires rely if we're all cast into poverty by their AI inventions?

We won’t have time to consume, it will be like black mirror where we are all on bikes generating electricity to feed AI.

At least it will solve my weight problem

I’ve made a board game with AI cards in it and I asked ChatGPT to write some witty comments for them.

My favourite being “Your designer thinks humour will detract from broken mechanics. He is wrong.”

It also took the piss out of me for making it illustrate Wayne Rooney in a cake bed. 😅

I've struggled with this for a while so will ask here at the risk of looking ignorant.

Is this water thing with chatgpt actually an issue? Water is naturally recycled, its not like it is getting used up forever. That would suggest to me that if there is a threat on this front it would be about general availability and pricing, which could be reacted to at any point really and recovered from. We aren't using up this water and it's gone forever.

What am I missing?

No, I get that, but I keep hearing this water thing anyway and it's one of those issues that I don't really trust the AI supported internet to be honest about

I got a targetted ad for North Shields Pizza the other week which was an AI generated ad but, for some reason, they didn’t get the AI to actually put the right name on. So right at the end, something like “BIBLI GHRDGDH” popped up, I was fucking howling

Tbf “BIBLI GHRDGDH” is how Italian sounds to people who don’t understand Italian.

I've heard the same thing about denim and cotton production so I stopped wearing jeans and underpants. My solicitor is trying to use a diminished capacity defence?

Isn’t that a slightly simpliced approach to this?

Hey now, don't be coming around here in Barkel County with yer fancy lawyerin' talk. We a simple folk and we know two thangs:

1. High Water Availabity

2. Low Water Avalbabity

Stick to the topic at hand, y'hear?

 Absolutely wild that we're letting this stuff permeate everything now, and companies and organisations are just waving their hand and saying "ah well, it's not secure and it's wrong a lot of the time but what can we do".
