4-0 now.

As funny as it is seeing Everton get hammered we don’t need Chelsea building up a head of steam at this stage of the season.

Dele Ali on Sky -

“it’s been a strange game, i don’t think it’s 4-0”

Nah just checked, it is pal. Four goals to nil.

Chelsea players PROPERLY FIGHTING over who gets to take the penalty

Shows one of their problems. Too many individuals and not a team.

Yeah Chelsea have played all their easy fixtures for the season after this one tbh, whereas we have a lot of the relegation fighters to play.

Chelsea could be our biggest challenge for top 5/6. They’re timing their run of form just right too

By that token so are we.

Btw Pickford really has been fucking hopeless for a while now, cannot believe Southgate still just picks him regardless.

Palmer is absolute quality to be fair. And it’s first full season. Pretty incredible really.

He still looks like he is a bit of a twat though.

The (alleged) fact that he's a bit of a twat is the main reason he didn't stay with us imo.

We didn't want to let him go, but he wanted game time.

It was a good deal all around to be fair.  He got game time, chelsea got a good player, we got a wedge & our academy got that extra boost.

We knew he was quality hence the £42m + add ons

He didn't seem like he quite fitted in our system, again, imo

We replaced him with Doku and we're doing ok.

Not having seen it it sounds more like pointing out that championing a percentage with this many games to play and so many teams and factors involved is rather pointless (but then so is most punditry) as it will change so frequently. I like the statistical analysis from games after the fact, but it needs to be consumed along with the match itself. Not a fan of the win loss draw percentages that they now put up in each match and with each goal scored. It really doesn't add any value.

Yeah. I thought it was a bit tongue in cheek and a reference to how one or two results can have a massive impact in the odds at this stage.

He's right, mind. Super computers analyse meteorological systems, they investigate the hidden mysteries within gene sequences, peering at the building blocks of existence.

You don't need one for this shit

You can forecast probabilities on fucking Excel.

So let me get this straight, you are comparing the analysis skills of, arguably, the greatest striker this country has ever produced against someone who lives in the spare room playing with spreadsheets, AND coming out on the side of the spreadsheet geek ?

Yes. DID I FUCKING STUTTER?!

Gemmill's read Toonpack's post, and he's had a think, then he's typed out his reply and then bang, he's submitted it. /ShearerPunditry

yeah, i think we should be thinking about challenging for top 5/6 now, given our run in, our form and the players we have to come back. it may be that chelsea rise as spurs fall away. spurs have some minging fixtures and that palmer kid os on fire for chelsea

Chelsea and Man Utd are near impossible to gauge. They're getting by on individual talent, but they've got players with loads of it.

They can as easily lose to a relegation side as they can take points off a title challenger.

They could conceivably lose the next 4 on the bounce.
