Credit to Howe for the in game tactical switch. I don’t mind us switching formations mid-game to see out a result. Good to see that flexibility and I wonder if we might have seen out results against PSG or Milan if we’d done it in those games. BDB looks like a good option as a left sided centre half in a back three and tripper, Krafth, Tino and hall can all play wing back so it’s definitely an option 

 

Harry Wilson had Burn's number in first half at Fulham to be fair. It was actually a fortunate instance of Wilson going off injured! Burn got his goal, and was defended out well.

 

We all worry that Burn's going to be isolated, and made the weak link vs. many wingers - but testiment to him, so far he hasn't been.

 

Being highly critical, at 2-0 - Tino on for Miley at HT would have been an astute move - shifting to 541. Come out in a different shape, defend the lead whilst arguably having a greater counter attack with now Tino on pitch. It would have forced Emery to re-think his next move.

Because he isn't a weak link in the team, and is far better than all you bed wetters give him credit for.

 

Also, it was pointless bringing Tino on earlier as Burn had Diaby in his pocket. Bailey came on, caused issues and then Tino came on to quieten him down allowing burn to provide double cover on Watkins. It was a masterstroke doing it when he did as Emery had exhausted his options chasing the game and couldn't do anything else about it.

 

We won 3-1, what's the problem?
