For a change, Pickford was mentally in the game.

Moyes clearly has changed the mindset of the club and given the journey they have been on, having the sliders on for the last game of the season seemed unlikely. 

In some respects, this is what we need, the reality check that we need to strengthen further in the summer to build on what has been another fantastic season under Howe.
