Welcome, Jacob! Please be aware we have another Jacob so when someone is making a pass, it may be to them rather than you. And vice versa. 👍

We also have another ‘Rambo’ as well, so that’s out.

Lets go with Jambo.

Jambo is very much one of those words that sounds like it’s probably racist even though it isn’t tbh. You should all be ashamed. Bigots.

Seems we like to collect them in pairs.

So first team squad now has two Jacobs, two Lewis and two Anthonys but only one ingrate cunt.

As much as I think Ramsey is a good signing for us, I can't help but feel sorry for Aston Villa about having to part with a key youth player for PSR compliance. Not only is it counter-intuitive to the stated purpose of PSR it sees the ambitious clubs battling to overcome it, namely us, Villa and to a lesser extent Forest being the ones to lose out. Us with Anderson and Minteh. We really should form an alliance with these clubs and legally reciprocally transfer promising youth with buy-back options to facilitate more on the books profit and PSR headroom.

Adding to the above it is denying clubs from having youth players with long term commitment and attachment to their local clubs for multiple reasons:

- Firstly they tend to be comparatively stiffed on wages as they're already at the club

- They're the most profitable to sell

PSR is bollocks and not fit for purpose. We've known it for some time, other clubs have become acutely aware of it this summer.

It appears to be at its worst when you've been on a European adventure and you don't sustain it for the following season. i.e.:

Newcastle - CL followed by no European football.
Villa - CL followed by Europa League.
West Ham - Conf League followed by Europa League followed by nothing.

The only club that's seemingly got away with this is Man Utd.

Needs to go in the bin - particularly if they have any interest in warding off accusations of there being a cartel. The reasons behind why they decided to bring this in I get, but it's either been poorly designed, or poorly executed. If they put it to the member clubs as to whether it should be retained, surely 14 are going to say no?!

No chance it gets voted out, there's too many gimps that'll go for it as it helps them avoid relegation, never mind the red cunts of the NW and the two gobshites from N London. Ashley's NUFC voted for it which tells you all you need to know.

Who’s going to vote to change things? Man City, us, Villa and Forest? The cartel obviously won’t. Then the rest are happy with the status quo. Especially as we’ve not seen any promoted teams stay up for about 3 years. So you’ve got what? 8 clubs that are happy with being in the premier league without rocking the boat too much because the risk of going down seems to be diminishing all the time. I expect any ‘independent football regulator’ to be utterly toothless too when it comes to this. All you can hope to do is slowly build and try and beat them at their own game.

I reckon the only way PSR changes is if the perception that it is unfair becomes the standard view. But then it’d only change to some other system designed to preserve the status quo.

New boss same as the old boss stuff.

Ultimately the PL too weak and too shit scared of the ESL breakaway to do anything.
