Fullbacks really did make us look more fluid. The first 15 mins or so I thought we looked troubled, but then we started looking more dangerous and capable of doing damage. Really good to see us look decent again. City played well too I thought, or at least not terribly, so even nicer to win against that backdrop.

 

I do think we were fortunate with decisions mind.

Hall, Livramento and Schar made today so much better. All three put in performances and their ability elevated our game. We could play our comfortably down either wing and retain the ball in situations where we couldn't with Burn clogging up the left and Trippier sadly looking done. 

 

Barnes from the left was also a big upgrade. Just a much better footballer than the kick and rush guy who is out injured. Barnes can finish and he can pass and move at pace.
