Figures the one game I can't watch we play well. Get in though what a result. Can't wait to see the highlights.

You are henceforth banned from watching any games for the rest of the season.

Our second goal btw, when you watch the replays, incredible effort from Bruno to win the header and Barnes's finish is class.

Even Redknapp was gushing about that and Bruno in general on the later Sky coverage.

Think it's in this video. Absolutely bizarre that this YouTube account has flipped to Newcastle clips btw. It appears to belong to some young Japanese lass who usually posts videos like "Be THAT girl in school"

The main takeaway from yesterday’s game is how important Tino and Hall are for how we want to play. We were like a different team with those two backing up the press and getting forwards. They took so much pressure off the midfield three

Unbelievable shift from Tino today after a while out. He passed to them a couple of times early on, but was soon back to being tremendous.

He played the full 98 minutes in his first game back too - a freak of nature

I was on the beer yesterday and tried three different fucking pubs to watch the match but every one was showing the Ireland rugby match with commentary so eventually had to settle with watching it with no sound. Last time I do that.

On the plus side, the Dutch courage pushed me to lumping on a Newcastle win at 27/10 so worked out a free day on the piss with a few quid left over on top. :good:

BTW, I’d have been furious if we hadn’t been given that Foden penalty shout. MOTD explained that according to the letter of the law it probably was correct but there’s no way that Schar about to follow through doesn’t put Foden off. While it was the correct call I’m amazed it wasn’t given considering who the opposition were.

Seeing so many people crying online about how we "cheated" or "bought the match" is making the victory even sweeter. It's about time a few dodgy decisions and tight VAR calls went our way so I don't really care.

Though I am genuinely shocked that it didn't all go in City's favour.

H'way @thebrokendoll stop watching Strictly and get the match thread up for Le Frogs

Will be interesting to see what rotation Eddie does for that game.  Will he start Tino after such a long time out?  Will Botman come back in?

02.15am, 5 hours of driving through thick fog, iplayer on and our match highlights followed by the bindippers latest hilarious debacle with a couple of well earned thatchers gold I'll have you know.

Remember when Botman came back after a knee injury and played two back to back games in a short space like that?

Man City aren't Liverpool or Man U.

They also weren't at home, I think calls have a better chance of going our way at SJP no matter who we are playing to be fair. But yes City haven't been established long enough to have a huge amount of that "sway".

At the end of the day we won the match and can be very happy

Hang on ! You'd be furious if we were not given a penalty contrary to the rules, when not giving it was a correct decision, and you're amazed an incorrect decision wasn't made (after a review) to reverse the correct decision ?? Aye ??
