We live next door to this "nature reserve". In quotation marks cos it sounds nicer than it is. It's usually just mice, this is the first dead rabbit. My last two cats, one of them brought a rabbit home but it was absolutely fine. They just brought it home and let it chill in the kitchen with them until I came down and had to take it back to the field.
Monkeys Fist 46367
Domestic cats are the number one killer of birds in this country (after me of course). There’s a growing lobby who would like to see them kept indoors under lock and key and only allowed outside if tethered. (again also after me.)
Holden McGroin 7925
Aye. Isn’t it like 50 million birds a year in the UK? That was my counter argument when the mrs decided she wanted a cat. It. didn’t work and now I have no birds in my garden - which I used to enjoy from my garden office.

Expand My protests against were also utterly disregarded when we got our furry shit machine, Dweezil. He’s also caused our feathery friends to vacate our garden, but I think it’s just in protest at his astonishing stupidness, since he’s soft as shite and probably scared of birds. I was throwing a ball about the back garden for him the other day, which he was unbelievably excited about, being a dog, and in one of his attempts to get said ball, he forgot that brick walls are solid entities and hurt when you charge head-first in to them… … like I said, thicker than a mackem’s belly

Gemmill 52337
Just had to rescue a mouse from her. Woke up and she was torturing it in the garden so I got her in the house and locked the cat flap. Left the mouse to find its way home, but I've come back to the kitchen 45 minutes later and it's still alive and turning left and right but basicallt hasn't moved. So into a tupperware it's gone and I've dropped it back at the field. Hopefully it's just temporarily shellshocked and will sort itself out now.

Craig 7326 Posted Tuesday at 09:49 Share Posted Tuesday at 09:49 Speaking of cats, the missus's one regularly tiptopes along the back of the sofa from one side to the other.
