Tbf, that 4:12 minutes was a much more enjoyable watch than the entire last season.

Is nobody else going to mention the new Cardiacs single?  Seriously? It's been 3 or 4 days already.

I was quite enjoying that until the drab solo midway or so through.

Not my usual thing but quite enjoying Sally Shapiro's latest for some indie pop.

New track from Saint Etienne, think it's their last ever "single" release ahead of the new (final) album next month. There's some farewell gigs next year which I'm very much hoping to get to... this is unlike most of the stuff they've released lately, it's a stone cold banger :D :boogie:

Hopefully a bit of this in November.

Fist Jnr is spacka daft about them, and has tried to convince me that an evening spent nursing a plastic pint of overpriced piss at the O2 , surrounded by sweaty dweebs having aural orgasms will be fun.

Me and Mrs. F. both said no, he’ll need time off school, it’s “too much for a gig when you add in hotels and travel” etc etc.

So- I’ve registered for tickets which is step one

It being Radiohead, they’ve tried to cut out touts and Ticketmaster, so getting a ticket is a 5 step process.

1. Register your details on their website, stating which venue you want to go to

2. Wait until Wednesday and see if I pass the first lottery and get an Unlock Code ( if not, tough luck, if yes, move to step 3)

3. Use the code to login at 10;00am on Friday the 12, where its first come first served… but… you’re only allowed to bid for a maximum of 4 tickets, at one venue only, on one night only. If you manage to buy tickets, that’s you then locked out of the sale.
4. Gan radge pressing re-fucking-fresh for a few hours.
5. Swallow the disappointment, and maybe some beer.

If I do manage to get a pair, I’m not telling him until the night before we leave.

I’ll also be buzzing because I’d love to see them live.

Hmmm..... I saw that. Might be tempted to try. Much rather see these than Oasis. Saw them on The Bends tour when my female companion fainted down the front so I had to drag her out though 2000 unsympathetic student CUNTS who thought I'd assaulted her or something 😐

I think it was around 95/96 so yes a long time before the now semi permanent Mrs PL came into the picture. That particular lass married another lad from our old Sunday football team. They're divorced now and I'm currently trying to get their son an apprenticeship as a electrician 😊

I saw Radiohead at Leeds in 2009 (I think) which wasn’t long after In Rainbows and they were very good. In my memory anyway, I WAS a bit spangled and trying to get into some goth lass who was in the tent next to us. Nothing ever happened more than a bit of necking on but she was very meticulous with the make-up, even two or three days into that fucking manky festival. She was slightly older and seemed very intent on enjoying Enter Shikari despite them being shite. Think she was from somewhere in the midlands. I wonder what she’s up to now and if she enjoyed the last Cure album. Anyway, aye, In Rainbows, great album.

Got the new Suede album lined up for when I’m lying round the pool later on. If anyone has been avoiding their comeback albums, it’s a mistake as they’re all great. In general, Suede are so consistent except for the years where he was ripped to the tits on smack

Just ask tbd how to succeed in a ballot and do the opposite. 👍

I nearly booked it a while back. Just as well I didn’t as my lass initially told me we were in the lakes last weekend. Turns out it was this weekend she’d booked instead..Really fancy doing a live one though. Maybe next year? Glad you two enjoyed it

It was Simon Price, who is a freeky looking character for a 57 year old.... Stubbs wore one industrial glove for some reason...

Did Price have his horns on? Stubbs the enigma! He's probably got psoriasis.
