There a chap who's played 1.75 matches behind closed doors called dyer who looks like he's going to be in the squad for Saturday.

Does any one know anything about him, ie goals, fitness, injury prone, the next prodigal son of Newcastle?

Looking forward to seeing him back although I don't think he's that great tbh. His pace frightens defenders though which is something we lack at times.

I reckon we really need a fresh face in our side to shake it up again. If he's properly fit, Dyer could give us the pace we need to create more chances.

Perhaps if Martins has someone to run with/into space for we might see something more of him.

Alternatively, he could be on the pitch for 38mins and go off with a strained thigh or something...... :(

I wonder how much of it he has now. There's a canny chance he'll be about as rapid as an arthritic snail and then what will he offer?

Not a lot but I'm guessing he'll still be pretty pacy.

If he sticks in performances like he did that time in cup again Southampton then I'm all for him to return. He has to be consistent with those though...

Im glad he is back. I think the midfield has lacked the ability to link up with the front to and Im being overly optimistic that Dyer could provide that in place of maybe Emre.

Realistically, it probably a small nothing and in 3-4 weeks I'll still be sick as fck.

I think I'm the only person on here who is looking forward to seeing Dyer back. We're a much better team with him in it.

We are a much better team with him in it. Hes one of the few who can create space for others, take a man on and carry a ball. He also allows us to break, push teams back when we are being pressed.

He has his faults but he provides an awful lot that isnt obvious.

Of course if hes spilled your pint then hes nowt but a diseased little prick..... :(

I'm looking forward to seeing him back. However, if he's lost his pace then he's as much use as a condom machine in the Vatican.

I would just like to add my name to the growing list of people who agree with you, hence proving you wrong... :o

I don't even dislike him as a person. :(

Agree with al that. He has most of the things the current team seem to lack in pace, movement, energy, us direct at attacking and likes to run at people. We are absolutely desperate for him to play.

The only problem is we're all waiting for him to do his hamstring after about a game and a half!!!
