You'd like to think so but we voted for Brexit, and we gave Johnson a massive majority I was thinking about Labour's achievements earlier. The welfare state and the NHS obviously Even Blair and Brown brought in the minimum wage, huge things for the benefit of the working class This lot don't deserve to call themselves Labour

Coventry vs Sunderland is the high quality clash you’d expect. The likes of Barcelona and PSG will be quaking in their boots watching the mackems park the bus like this

My eldest cousin in 1988 had a big Subbuteo set up with homemade floodlights my uncle made. We made up a league and all sorts. We would play whilst listening to games on the wireless. Great times.
-
Not sure what month it was but I've a memory of that year playing subbuteo in the dining room with lampshades as floodlights and listening to the recently taped top ten featuring talking heads, fergal Sharkey, Jennifer rush, Madonna, Elton John and aha. It's funny what sticks.

It being a raster image being the problem, could the not just have vectorised like?

Oh I'm conceding NOTHING. My point still stands that if Minteh cost £30m, Evan Ferguson isn't going for less than that.
-
I've currently got Top of the Pops 1985 re-runs on. Its on BBC 4. Some great early memories coming back.
-
Probably, I've watched it in Netflix. While I'm here the latest series of Black Mirror is a return to form imo after 2 dud series. Also I'd say Netflix basic with adverts is the way to go, they are barely noticeable.
-
Aye I misinterpreted your post, it read like he’d cost us 33m, obviously I saw it this way as I’m not used to you conceding a point. 😘
-
Is that the one that was on BBC 2 then later repeated on Netflix? Absolutely superb if it's the same series.

We did the Vietnam war for History in school and its always been a subject that has fascinated me. It's still complex. I shall give that at go though.

As long as they don't butcher the crest completely like the mackem "fweinds" Feyenoord did.
-
It was £30m, so we're both wrong on the exact amount. Anderson was £35m fee.

Almost certainly, although there are some timing/contract issues -
Minteh cost 6m and sold for 35
-
Well it was £33m for Minteh who'd never played a PL game, so yeah let's go with it.
-
That £30m (not sure where you get that figure from but let’s roll with it) can easily turn into £60m with Eddies track record.

David's signing on bonus and wages will make him no cheaper as a free transfer than just spending proper wedge on someone else

Asked ChatGPT to do one for the Mackems, a definite improvement

They all look the same... -
Or more accurately, let's not spend £30m+ to find out cos can we fuck afford an expensive mistake.

Watching a documentary called "Turning Point: The Vietnam War". I've always been shamefully ignorant of this conflict and period in US history, despite Paul Hardcastle. It covers the politics, the war itself, it's impact on society and civil rights. Clearly the US has always been fucked up.
