I think most of those are better than our trefoil shirt tbh. Obviously they're tailored to the specific clubs so wouldn't necessarily translate to us but I just think that Adidas picked an awful shirt to re-imagine. It's almost as if the wanking by younger fans about the special kits they did for us wasn't based on actual evidence as they did a few stinkers to go with the odd diamond hence why the new one plus last year's white effort were a definite 'so fuck?' from me and don't get me started on the Saudi green obsession which is just not us.
-
Yeah but you could still theoretically demonstrate that more easily if you’re established, successful team I suppose. I.e. there’s no way we’d have been allowed to make a similar argument/have a similar valuation. I mean it’s all fucking bollocks anyway and it was just a way of letting Chelsea get out of their predicament.
-
Chelsea's women's team were valued at what they may be potentially worth On first glance, Chelsea Women being valued at £200m might seem quite high for a company with under £15m in revenue last season, but the long-term case for investment in women’s football is strong,” Jordan Gardner, a global football club management and investment strategy consultant at Twenty First Group, tells The Athletic. “NWSL expansion clubs starting from scratch are selling for well over $100m and are only going up. In comparison, Chelsea have incredible existing brand equity value, and it could be argued that £200m is undervalued when taking into account the upside opportunity leveraging the history and attractive location of the club, alongside the growth of the WSL.
-
And what would the team have been worth? They aren’t in the top flight and weren’t they newly promoted to the second tier at that time?
-
Was just about to post that the Madrid one is absolutely awful imo
-
None of that forrin muck
-
They look from ordinary through to shite tbh. The bayern one looks like a knitted sweater vest. The Juve one is probably the nicest but you'd be hard pressed to know it had anything to do with Juve.
-
I feel like we'll be well positioned to bring Anderson back in a few years when Forest are faltering.
-
A local email service for local people.
-
Can they not buy them back at their actual value and then repeat the trick?

Presumably we'd want to get into the Women's Super League first (fanks Mike), then we can use Chelsea's valuation as a guide.
-
Cos there was no precedent for it and it might not have got voted as ok if we had been the first to do it given the rest of the league's attitude towards closing off all potential loopholes for us in the past. Villa are expected to sell the women's team though aye, they've supposedly been monitoring Chelsea's approach closely. If they can get out of PSR by selling players first though, and keeping their women's team til later, they might want to do that. You can only sell your women's team once.
-
Probably because it wasn't voted through as being allowed by the EPL clubs until a few weeks ago...it's only now another club are going to do it...
-
They'll promptly close that loophole if/when we decide to do it.
-
I hear that we've agreed personal terms with Matt Targett and we're absolutely desperate to hang on to Joe Willock despite a lot of interest. 😉
-
Re Pedro. Honestly I am not arsed about him.
-
If that happens ill piss myself
-
At least Elanga and Trafford actually look interested in joining us
-
Rumours that Villa are short for the PSR deadline, but will just sell themselves their women's team to avoid having to sell any players. Which begs the question, why the fuck did we give Elliott Anderson away for £15m this time last year instead of just doing the same?

Any "so called accountants" want to peruse this with a view to giving their thoughts on its accuracy? https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/liverpool-no-psr-concerns-green-31925713

is there a player on earth Chelsea don’t want to sign?
-
So, can anyone bring me up to date on who the mackems have signed? They've gone from being pragmatic realising relegation is most likely, to having absolute belief they will be top half of the Premier league next season? This is pretty universal amongst them. A couple of signings mentioned I havent heard of, googled them, and still 🤷♂️. I guess we're at the south end of the mackem boom bust cycle currently.
-
I don't want to sell him but if you get silly money in for players, that's what starts to be transformative for the rest of the squad. Our main problem at the minute seems to be that Chelsea want to buy every fucker we want, and they've got a wage bill we can't compete with. I do wish we would stop this "the club says they want £40m, we'll start with a bid of 60% of that" which is what we're currently doing with Trafford.
