That's the first one I got put on about 10 years ago. Sent me absolutely fucking manic (not meaning to downplay mania or bipolar disorder at all). Doc doubled the dosage to see if that would help, swear I barely slept for a good few weeks, was always "on", racing thoughts and borderline paranoid delusional. Sure it works well for a lot of people but fuck me that was a rough few months (mostly for the people around me, I was absolutely out to lunch). Switch to Sertraline which was mostly beneficial for a year or so. I'm not against antidepressants at all, and it's great that there's less of a stigma around them to the extent that folk on a footie forum are happy to openly talk about them. I genuinely think SSRI's and similar meds have literally saved the lives of loads of people close to me. Only real caveat for me is finding the right one for you, and balancing that tightrope of beneficial effect Vs potentially really serious side effects.
