@Dr Gloom go to 6:50 on that video. I agree with this lad about Pedro, not sure if I've seen him play wide too often. I've seen him at 10 and 9. If we get Elanga and don't sell anyone we don't really need him to cover the flanks either. That's an absolute best case scenario obviously...
-
yeah, he makes total sense for that reason. can also play as number 10 if howe wants the option of playing 4-2-3-1. however, he is expensive and a lot of his goals have been pens but i like the idea of another brazilian in the mix
-
Possibly but I think someone that could do a shift up there (in the ilk of Gordon) might be desirable in the RW search.
-
If we get Pedro Im not sure we will sign another striker on top of him. He's got 30 goals in 70 games for Brighton, which beats anyone in our squad bar Isak.
-
Probably the exact reason we are after Pedro tbf. He can play across the front 3 like Gordon, but is much better at CF than him.

Enjoy strawb mate. Get your feet up and enjoy the food and drink!

like i said what happened to the chump? did he finally tire of making himself look a monumental tit?

it's not my personal shopping list. i based it on the main players we're currently being linked with (pedro, elanga, ramsey, guehi and trafford). i have no clue if we are actually planning to add players in all of those positions, what our total budget is, how many players we will need to shift in order to finance it while staying clear of psr problems etc. it's probably unlikely that we buy specialist players in all of those positions, particularly CF. we already have isak and osula and they're typically the most expensive players on the market. that's why the pedro link makes sense to me, despite the astronomical fee mooted, as he can add depth in about four positions
-
Elanga and Osula have been really good mates for years apparently.
-
I'm in We're not going to get everything on your shopping list. It's financially impossible to. We didn't last season either and we all know how that turned out. It's not that I was happy myself last September (last summers window was very publicly a disaster) but if Cordero is a midfielder and we get a couple of forwards and a CB that will probably be it. Of course I might be completely incorrect on all that, yeah I know that sounds unbelievable etc etc 😆
-
Yeah but look at the injury situation the last time we qualified for Europe...

CN aka. Casey is on it.

The ‘Hot Mitch summer’.

yes, obviously. which is why i think we'll sign another versatile forward who can cover CF as well as a wide position, instead of a specialist CF. i don't know if that player is elanga, joao pedro or someone else we haven't been linked with yet but i suspect it'll be someone with versatility so we can let wilson go and keep osula as third choice. it would be great to get a new RW and a specialist CF to cover Isak but it blows a massive amount of the budget. i'm not sure we have the cash to get players in all the positions we have been rumoured to be upgrading (CF, RW, RCB, CM and GK) without significant outgoings.

There is every chance he doesn't want to say too much in case a doylem (not naming names, but he's from Yorkshire) misconstrues it
-
Amen mother fuckers.
-
Im under the assumption we will buy at least 1 striker and 1 player that can fill in there (eg an Mbeumo or Pedro type) - who will all be above Osulu in the pecking order.

I don't think Osula will be loaned out due to us having at least 8 extra games before mid January and still being behind the likes of Villa squad wise. We need bodies and loaning out anyone including Cordero strikes me as nuts tbh
