  1. Past hour
  2. Man U have reportedly a 20% sell on clause on Elanga plus he's still carrying £9 Mill of amortisation debt. Whatever fee is agreed (if) it's that amount less 20% + £9mill to derive what forest would get, so £60 Mill gets them £39 Mill ish.
  3. Oh, and this made me lol
  4. I enjoyed a few bits and pieces. It’s obviously no longer a guitar festival. It has become a commercial behemoth while still retaining some of what made it special 30 years ago. It’s clearly more sanitised but at least you don’t get the TK Maxx sponsored stages etc like you do at other festivals. Wet Leg, Busta Rhymes, the libertines, Supergrass, Pulp, Charlie XCX, Four Tett, Prodigy, Self esteem, Kneecap and Lola Young among my favourites of what I’ve watched so far
  5. Nice to know spongebob got there okay. 👍
  6. I think it was just the “death to the IDF” chant that was censored in Bob Vylan’s set? I saw plenty of pro-Palestine chants led by musicians in the coverage I’ve watched. As well as “fuck kier Starmer” during kneecap’s set
  7. Fucking hate Glastonbury nowadays like. So many reasons. And Rod Stewart man. Jesus. Reminds me of a time I went to this pub in Tenerife and the place was some weird shrine to him. I think Maggy May was canny and that's about it. The barman/owner started sweeping the floor pretending he was RS using the broom as a mike. Mind, that was 20 years ago, he may have had some life still in him then. Same with "I'm Dill Danding" Elton John.
  8. Hot Mitch Summer spectacularly saved. You're welcome!
  9. This one any better Mr Fussy Pants?
  10. Craig Hope must be in Majorca. He's not been online for ages.
  11. Today
  12. And the BBC filtering any mentions of Palestine
  13. It nails a lot of my feelings about Glastonbury like. And that’s having seen barely any of it this year. The point about Rod Stewart as well. I mean he was a parody of himself when I was a kid in the 80s. I do think he did some ok stuff about a decade before that but he’s that type of artist where I just cannot fathom anyone wanting to see live, ie a renowned vocalist whose voice is absolutely shot. It’s just embarrassing for all concerned. Then you have the BBC presenter cunts going full North Korea and insisting (I assume, as they did with Elton John) that it was a <insert superlative here> performance for the ages.
  14. I would say Murphy last season was just as important to us as Elanga was to Forest. Murphy had 20 goal contributions in the league last season and we had no one else who looked like putting in numbers anywhere close to that on the right. I agree with the different points in their career part and I think I'd be looking for £30m+ if we were to sell him. The size of prices we're being quoted for replacements tells me we'd have to value him at that sort of amount. We'd probably get about £15m for him from Saudi though.
  15. I think it's comparing apples with pears somewhat. They're at different points of their career and a lot rests on how pivotal the player is to the club he's at - was Murphy as much of a pivotal player for us as Elanga was for Forest last season? He had a decent season but he isn't as important to us as Elanga is to Forest. £45m was never going to get anywhere. If we're serious about signing these players, we need to go in with a bid higher than 75% of their current club's valuation. All we're doing at the moment is signalling intention and opening the door to 'Newcastle Tax' being applied.
  16. £20-30m maybe? murphy just had his best season of his career aged 30. Elanga is what, 22 or 23 with his best years ahead of him
  17. I was just interested in what people value Murphy at. He had a better season than Elanga last term so I was wondering how we valued him in comparisson.
  18. I'm not sure of the relevance. It's not about what I'd accept, it's about what a selling club would accept. Are Forest likely to listen to an offer of £45m for a player pivotal to what they achieved last season? Not in my mind.
  19. If that’s your sort of thing then can I point you in the direction of a certain Vurnon Anita.
  20. Spend the weekend with friends in Strasbourg. Not a bad place either.
  21. Same with Guehi last year. Fucking madness rbh
