Aye. That was my thinking. The finances and squad would work itself out as we’d buy appropriately for the competition we are in.    We have zero chance of winning the CL but you’re right that in terms of growth, it would be better for the club. However from a fans perspective we’d have a good shot at another trophy.   I’d rather be in the CL but realistically we are probably a few years off even mounting a title challenge even with CL money. I’d happily stall a year or 2 of progress to win that cup (not guaranteed of course). The feeling of winning the league cup was great as a fan.
