Has financial criminality caused you to move bank?
Howmanheyman replied to Happy Face's topic in General Chat
"May I first of all thank all of the above Toontastic posters for informing myself of your banking preferences. Having consulted with my colleagues and based on the information gathered from the Nigerian Chambers Of Commerce And Industry, I have the privilege to request your assistance to transfer the sum of $47,500,000.00 (forty seven million, five hundred thousand United States dollars) into your accounts. The above sum resulted from an over-invoiced contract, executed, commissioned and paid for about five years (5) ago by a foreign contractor. This action was however intentional and since then the fund has been in a suspense account at The Central Bank Of Nigeria Apex Bank. We are now ready to transfer the fund overseas and that is where you come in. It is important to inform you that as civil servants, we are forbidden to operate a foreign account; that is why we require your assistance. The total sum will be shared as follows: 70% for us, 25% for you and 5% for local and international expenses incidental to the transfer. The transfer is risk free on both sides. I am an accountant with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC). If you find this proposal acceptable, we shall require the following documents: (a) your banker's name, telephone, account and fax numbers. ( your private telephone and fax numbers —for confidentiality and easy communication. © your letter-headed paper stamped and signed. Alternatively we will furnish you with the text of what to type into your letter-headed paper, along with a breakdown explaining, comprehensively what we require of you. The business will take us thirty (30) working days to accomplish. Please reply urgently. Best regards Howgul Abul Arhu" -

Last time we stayed in Peyia a little out the way of Paphos and about 5 mins drive from Coral Bay which had loads of restaurants and shops on one strip if you like that. Also a couple of supermarkets. If you have the car you're on the doorstep of the mountains and not that far from some good archaeological sites and you can have plenty of privacy too.

Hire a car, Cyprus is a piece of piss to drive around and the scenery is great and there's loads of places if you want to stop and eat.

Alan Pardew - Poltroon sacked by a forrin team
Howmanheyman replied to Kid Dynamite's topic in Newcastle Forum
You're not going to believe this, man! Alan Pardew: "After having the international cuisine days last year we thought we'd try something I did when I was at Charlton which we called 'tribute day'. It's where we celebrate one of our players who have excelled or just done something to make a difference. We usually invite their partners into the training ground or their family. A while back I heard a young fan say to his Dad, (I can't really do the Geordie voice but it was something like), 'Eee Dad, who's that keeper, man, it isn't Krul', and the Father replied that it was Rob Eliott. So the young boy says 'is he any good, Dad?' the Dad then told him he was a 'bulls knacker'. I'd no idea what he meant so I turned round to Andy Woodman on the bench and he didn't have a clue either, so I asked Stoney who's a Geordie and he said it meant he was the Dogs nuts., so there you are, I thought well done Rob, so we made him the first 'Tribute day'. I invited his Mum and Dad up from Sidcup and after training we presented him with a small glass goblet and pulled back a curtain with a poster of Rob with his name on and 'Bulls Knacker' underneath it. We explained to Rob it's Geordie meaning and he was chuffed to bits let me tell you, I was talking to his Mum and I caught his Dad, John, looking at the poster so I told him he must be very proud, that was Rob Eliott, his boy, a proper Bulls Knacker. Even Stoney, a hard nosed unsentimental Geordie got all emotional, covering his mouth and running out the door. He wont thank me for saying it but I swear I could hear him sobbing in the corridor." http://www.standard.co.uk/pasportsfeeds/pardew-savours-cabaye-display-9020719.html?origin=internalSearch- 10610 replies

Watched The Godfather on film4 HD. It really is timeless. -
Exactly, however the clubs which would miss out by going in a competition more like the UEFA cup of old won't want to take any pay cut at all. As a spectacle UEFA have devalued their own competition but this was brought on by greedy clubs in my opinion trying to cement themselves at the top. UEFA would have to have balls to change this which they just don't have. The branding of the UEFA cup to the Europa League was a disaster waiting to happen.

Even though it isn't one of my most memorable games, the most emotional I've felt at a game where I felt a lump in my throat was at Old Trafford when the whistle went when we beat Sheff Utd to get to Wembley for our first FA cup final in my life of supporting our club, (I was in nappies in 1974 for our last cup final). Even though I knew I wouldn't get a ticket it was a feeling of payback and a reward for all the shite and away days spent getting beat at places like Bournemouth and Stoke. It was only a second division side we beat but it wasn't the opposition that mattered, it was the reward and our destination. Finishing eighth doesn't compare.
