The players and the manager take some blame no doubt as does some rotten luck, however the buck stops at Ashley/Llambias I'm afraid. The latter in particular clearly relished the praise last season and played up himself and Ashley being hardnosed and tough to negotiate with. Giving an eight year contract to Pardew was complete folly particularly for a man who wants people to be 'hungry' for a job.

I've never really known us go into the last game of a season needing a result and getting one bar leicester away some twenty years ago. I cannot stress enough how important QPR is and I hope the players fully realise it although 9-0 in two games means the damage could already have been done by them. This will have been without doubt the most unnecessary relegation in the history of the PL since our last one if we fail to stay up, both on Ashley's watch. A few years ago there was about fifty from the club I drink in went to Portugal for a few days on a stag do. A good few decent blokes but some complete and utter bell-ends as well, lads who could be 'alright' back home but showed us all up away. One of the few times I've been embarrassed to be a Geordie. (Two little examples, smashing glasses off walls in bars and singing 'fuck the boro' in that pigbag song style to a couple walking past the bar with a toddler in a buggy just because the Dad had a Boro top on. A few of us sloped off to actually enjoy ourselves but I was glad to get back, plus after four days away I really missed my two girls.
