Actually, I was under the impression it was a little later because of his illness with Ashley not wanting to look like he was sacking a bloke seriously ill in hospital. The spin will be it is due to ill health though I imagine. I thought they were looking him to stay on during the transition to smooth things over? This could also be related to the arrests made last week. He was always going. Been reading a lot of people on here taking the piss about West Ham,but i reckon the players they are signing,and the others they might get,that they will probably do better than us in the league tbh like. They could end up with a squad of what people might think to be misfits,but they could click and i have a feeling they will. I think their squad is fairly average tbh. Same as ours then.

I hope buying Asian players simply to penetrate the Far Eastern market isn't part of Ashley's plan.
