Source? The use of the word "fickle" to describe Spuds fans and the description of NUFC as "giants" leads me to believe that this mightn't have come from the most balanced or reliable source.
  2. Steven Taylor would've been proud.
  3. Best possible draw for all 3 clubs though Chelsea probably would've liked to have been away first.
  4. I'm miserable? And how exactly do I try to be clever?
  5. Aye. I think most English people that have a brain prefer Germans to most people on continental Europe. You're not as cool as us but culturally we're more like each other than any other country. Closer culturally to the Home Nations and the Republic of Ireland I'd say, for a start. I wouldn't say I have a particular European country whose people I like the most though. Well obviously, but they're part of the British Isles, that goes without saying. Renton, who would you rather have a pint with a German, Spaniard, Italian or French twat? Maybe the Danes are similar to us to though. By the sounds of it I'd much rather have a drink with a "french twat" than you. I don't know how serious you're being but you sound like you have major issues. Renton v Stevie in the 5-a-side promises to be interesting.
  6. Same shite as there was with that fat kid, people not willing to take responsibility for their own actions. They should follow my easy guide to weight loss: Eat less and eat better + More exercise = Weight loss It's not hard to follow if you really want to lose weight but I suppose its easier to blame the government in between bites of chocolate cake.

  8. I think both sets of fans became disillusioned with the board and ambition shown by the respective clubs.
  9. they're on a par with liverpool fans tbh To a degree, you're correct. They are beginning to believe a bit of the 'special atmosphere' rubbish at Parkhead. Two examples spring to mind immediately: versus Blackburn and Manure, you could hear a pin drop during both games as Celtic were played off the park. The same bollocks is spouted about a lot of clubs (Newcastle fans the most passionate/fanatical in the world etc.) but I have to say the atmosphere in the first half seemed to be electric against Milan, didn't see the second half so can't comment on that.
  10. Reduced capacity for tonight isn't it? After checking it there are only 4500 away tickets available so its not a bad turnout, especially when coupled with the uncertainty as to whether the game was going to be switched to another venue.

  12. The point I'm making is that West Ham and Wigan both had great seasons last year after spending less than us and their managers were being lauded but they have both struggled in their second year so its not advisable to judge a manager on one season in the PL as there are other factors to be taken into account other than the manager to explain their first season success.
  13. For Reading this season see Wigan last season, the second season is the real test. Yeah but we haven't seen Reading's second season yet have we? Unless you have a crystal ball. Sort of the point I'm trying to make but thanks anyway.

  16. At least now I can say without any guilt.
