1. Were you? My major fear over Roeder taking over was the fact that we'd struggle in the transfer market. I was under the impression that Shearer was to be involved in getting players to sign, yet no mention of him at all this summer. Wonder why? I've got absolutely no faith in either Roeder or the fat man when it comes to things like this. 187218 Precisely... After all the good work he did last summer in getting the likes of Owen, Parker and Solano on board, plus the announcement of his postion of Sporting Ambassador , I thought that was a given... Are we paying him a wage? 187224 I think Shearer can be as involved at the club as he wants to be and at the present he doesn't want to be too involved. I've got no proof or owt, just how I see it. 187229 Not just you, the fact that Roeder has said he's allowed to "drop in" to training whenever he feels like shows that he pretty much has the run of the place and can come and go as he sees fit. Not exactly ideal for stability.
2. Roeder clearly hadn't made out a definitive shopping list, he wanted PL experience and we got Martins and the fact that he was still scouting Kuyt the day before he signed for Liverpool are two examples of why he clearly hasn't been prepared for this transfer window.
3. I think its been a case of Shepherd not wanting to be ripped off with expensive flops like he was with Souness and Roeder being over-cautious in deciding who he wants. Either way its a fucking mockery and both should be hung, drawn and quartered.
4. Bound to be on good wages at Boro, can't see him taking a cut to join us.
5. Roeder says whatever suits him at the time e.g. only buying players with PL experience.
6. It's not man. It's not. IT'S NOT! 186745 I thought it was cack as well...but my friends like it. 186854 Time to get new friends methinks.
7. Mmmm "Skysports understands", "it is believed", "Woodgate is believed". Not set in stone yet.
8. Or it could not be. 186803 He was right about Owen iirc. 186805 AndrewFlintoff had that exclusive didn't he?
9. Look at the fucking state of him. If he has any desire to ever play for us again he'd better get a short back and sides.
10. He has at least tried to give the impression that it's more than that. EDIT: For what it's worth I think Spurs leaked that story to satisfy their fans when they decided not to take him, it was certainly bandied about a bit at the time. I get the distinct impression that Spurs are only outstripped by Chelsea in their underhanded approach to business in the Premiership. 186304 Oh aye he tries to come across as ITK, but then again so do an awful lot of posters on the Spurs boards when they aren't. So why are Spurs interested in him now if they didn't want him in June? I thought Berbatov was Mido's replacement?
11. If by connected you mean he reads Spurs message boards and then repeats what he hears there on N-O then yes, he is very much connected.
12. Whilt searching for "lol" pics I came across this. Fucking uneducated idiot.
13. Will Roma be willing to let him go on loan again? How much longer has he got on his contract? Anyone know why Spurs cooled their interest at the end of the season and suddenly want him again?
14. And WHY of why can you not use black text like everyone else?
15. Bit harsh to blame him. Tbf is a knee injury related to fitness? Surely just the way he fell. Not to mention that our only other choice today was to play Luque and Milner.
16. Did we get a 30 day money back no quibble guarantee? Freddy had better get checking that fucking receipt.
17. Butt coming on, Emre off. Hasn't done much useful today.
18. No Taylor on. Doesn't say much for Babyaro when he's been taken off and Zoggy being used as LB.
19. When did he say Bent was his top target? It was never realistically going to happen at a price acceptable to us.
20. Well thats a fantastic transfer policy Glenn, the old "all the eggs in one basket" tactic. 185890 I don't buy that for a second. 185892 I don't think its too far from the truth as I reckon him and Kuyt were our top two targets, beyond that we would've been scraping the barrel.
