Like his 'Russian' accent in The Hunt For The Red Oktober. "auch aye the nooooo comrade !"

That was JFK. True story an'all. I liked JFK but preferred 'The Untouchables'. Now Sean Connery's American accent in that movie........

So you're arguing that the ancient Romans being played by an Australian actor in an American film should speak with an English accent as it would be more historically accurate? If you read my first paragraph, ie the one you decided not to quote, I've already explained my opinion on that argument.

thanks, I just might.

This really boils my piss, whilst I conceed that to "foriegners" an English accent represents England, to me an English accent (non regional) is neutral and in historical movies, unless its an American historical movie (oxy-moron ?) is as bad as a glaring continuity error, one example is in Gladiator, the head of the Pretorian guard, who's name excapes me, speaks in an American accent, in my mind he might as well be carrying an iPod as much as a sword ! I saw Film 2006 this week and they reviewed Marie Antoinette, staring Kirsten Dunst, who portrays the French Queen speaking with an American accent, this is simply wrongness in my opinion, this is almost as crazy as "Alexander" who's leading actors all sounded as if they had just stumbled off the set of Bally Kissangel !

Once in a life time The story of the New York Cosmos "soccer" team and the doomed North American soccer league. Superb documentary.

In the words of Bill Hicks: In many parts of our troubled world, people are yelling 'Revolution!'. In others they're yelling 'Evolution! We want our thumbs!'

I tried to get my bill down without losing SKY+ for free a few months ago and I'm pretty sure its still in the region of £35.
-
How much did it end up costing and how easy is it to fit? £90 with postage, took 15mins to fit, you get all the tools to do the job, instructions are brilliant, and a piece of piss to do ! Did you have to inform Sky? Do you lose all your recordings and those awaiting recording? Cheers Nope, not informed SKY, I've had it 3 years so I consider it mine, yes I did lose my recordings and my Series links but it only took a few minutes to re program them, you can get a program that will back these up but it requires connecting your old and new drives to a PC to back it up, seemed more trouble than its worth.

Upgrade arrived, fitted it inside 15mins, works like a charm ! 120hrs recording time ! Soccer AM takes only 4% drive space rather than 25% ! Highly recommended !!!

Agreed, I saw it a couple of years ago, not life changing but a good movie.

Have you seen "The Last Detail" ? In my opinion another great performance, and nominated for best actor Oscar, a very under rated film. It was on TV the other week, but I missed the start so didn't bother. I'll have to get hold of the DVD, I've just got hold of Five Easy Peieces too which was excellent. EDIT: And I haven't seen The Passenger either which is meant to be superb. Clicky here
