Colour kindle coming out end of the year. Probably pick one of those up and subscribe to a few "periodicals" oooh. we were thinking of picking up a second one, not sure if I can hold out that long. agree with khay that this thing is amazing. nice to be able to switch back and forth between a few books at a time without the need for keeping a pile of books next to me. -
actually, if you have even half a brain, then you will realise your first line proves my statement to be 100% correct. Nolan obviously knows something YOU can't grasp. that signing a bumper contract during a purple patch is more important than playing at the highest level?

I was going to mention that one regarding the latest transformers movie above, apparently both decent movies in spite of what's gone before in both series, with the fast and furious in particular some of the most turgid shit ever produced. I'll defo give both of them a go though, given the general good reviews.

agreed. back when vin diesel wasn't determined to be the worst thing ever to happen to cinema

Good post, it sums up in a nutshell exactly what is going on and exactly where Ashley is taking the club Going to sound like a broken record here but perhaps the time to judge our window is at the end of it, not right at the start. Yeah the regime don't have a great pedigree when it comes to transfers but I'll moan about them when and if they prove the doubters (myself included) to be right. I was all for giving it till the end of the window until pardew said "2 more signings". Fuck all of that 35m is getting reinvested. I have no hope left.

this is why I finally decided to pull the plug on my facebook account. a couple of years of nothing but this and "subtle" brags. can defo see the advantage for some, just not for me this thread is the first time I realised google+ was anything more than just that +1 thing in their search results

No, I definitely said more about the Owen deal than you did. Autistic or not. the fact that you believe that is why you remain so clueless about pretty much everything Oh dear you wouldn't say it to my face

I got the impression she'd set herself on fire in the netty. She did. She was a bit mental by all accounts and killed one of her kids 10 years ago you reckon? you must be a professional!

£202,531 per game £533,333 per goal Michael's right, I didn't know the facts, got my sums wrong... Transfer Fee £16m Wages £120,000 per week Wages £24.96m Total Insurance return £10m Total outlay £30.96m £1,032,000 per goal good posts, all the details of a nuanced argument covered there Why thank you. I didn't think it was THAT good. But it did say more than your post didn't it. only if you're a fucking autist who likes to post meaningless numbers and can't read between the lines. those numbers are relevant to the two major injuries he suffered, without which he would have been a good signing, and speak nothing of the reasons why the bloke is actually a prick.

was my first thought too there are plenty of high functioning alcoholics in high stress positions, so not sure I agree on this one, chez isn't Alex Ferguson teetotal now ? Read his book but can't remember. He def has no time for his players drinking, always has. It clearly took its toll on Brian Clough in his last few years. could well be, but wasn't he fond of a drink when he was an outstanding manager early on? agree about clough, no matter how you play it, that much drink is eventually going to destroy your brain in the long term.

was my first thought too there are plenty of high functioning alcoholics in high stress positions, so not sure I agree on this one, chez It was more about spreading malicious rumour about the scum's manager more than anything On the topic of excessive drinking/work though i guess it depends on the nature of the job and where the stress comes from. If you work in the city, you are gambling on the outcomes of events. You might have enough experience and knowledge to be able to process the implications of events as it doesnt require you to learn new ways of thinking. The stress becomes investing large cash into a gamble, and being full of coke and booze might not neccessarily be a bad thing. Being an actor is stressful but probably doesnt matter too much how much you drink. For a modern football manager, untrained in anything apart from coaching and playing football, running a club, preparing tactics to play teams, translating that into targeted coaching and adjusting this every week, buying and selling players, understanding the finance and administration (all increasingly complex), i reckon excessive drinking is going to affect your performance. I take your point though. that assumes that someone is always under the influence/operating at a severely reduced capacity, though. he can be training, internalising and processing new information early in the day, and operating on autopilot later on. not that I have a clue if bruce is up to that

this thinking might be why ireland's economy is in the fucking toilet mind

how very scientific "right lads, we've pretty much got this geometry lark sorted, down the pub for the next 10k years?"

absolutely had to make that first pass. I'm not ready to write him off, want to see him score and play with a bit of confidence, could be a great creator with that pace and trickery, but doesn't look to have an eye for a pass, or a goal. agree on collo, looks a little bit lost, but he's defo a confidence player, so might take a little while to settle. think it's been a decent half, unlucky to be down, we were dominant before the goal, though that offside just, just right. worrying how they grew towards the end, but I think if we can get a goal they will crumble.
