1. howay man PL....I think Zoggy has all the makings of a top player, whereas Luque seems a bit, er, erratic,....thats all. Time will tell, and sometimes these things stand out straightaway, in this case maybe, maybe not. 35294 Its way to early to tell with Luque who hasn't come close to having a chance to show what he can (or can't) do yet, espeically when the likes of Henry and Pires took a whole season in a top class team to reach the right level! I agree about Zog some of his touches, like the drag on the studs to fool Friedel and his freekick show the potential to be a genuine player and he combines it with a high tempo and energy and hoefully also will be a set piece taker of a high standard with time. 35300 Fantastic piece of class. The BBC *spits* would be absolutely creaming their trousers if Thierry or Wayne had done that.
2. Surely with Stevie T's suspension, it gives Boum and Bramble a chance to get back to where they were last season before Bramble's injury?
3. As the words in the film/play go...... Tradition!!!! 35192 (psst..Fiddler on the Roof.) Cool film 35207 Correct. I wondered who was cultured enough to know what I had taken it from. How mis-guided could I have been? 35274 My bit was taken from 'The Viz'; culturally bereft, moi? 35279
4. Did I hear that Taylor gave Bellamy a good Tug??
5. What he said. I do like Zog as he brings a lot of energy and enthusiasm to our play imo. He's only young so, hopefully, he will have a great career ahead of him. Not seen nearly enough of Luque to pass judgement.
6. That's one of my favourite jokes. Why do my kids think I'm sad???

8. 2014 tbh. Or am I being whoosed? 35242 No whoosh! As I understand it, England can't go for 2014 because of the FIFA rotation thingy. The next time the Coupe de Monde (sp) will be held in Europe will be 2018 iirc.
9. See on Teletext he's blaming Bellamy for getting him sent off. Says he (Bellamy) went down after being hardly touched. Says, also, that Bellamy had previously told the referee to 'watch Taylor'. Taylor doesn't seem to have much of an argument from what I saw on tv imo.

11. True. Big bruv was also in 'the force' for a time in Shields. I remember him telling me he beat the shit out of some drunk for puking on his uniform when being put into the cells! The good old days???
12. What about, Down in the Tubestation at Midnight - The Jam? 'I first felt a fist and then a kick, I could now smell their breath. They smelt of pubs, and Wormword scrubs and too many right-wing meetings.'
13. Nobles was a good haunt when the dancing girls were there, pre 'gentrification' Big bruvver got chinned in The Jungle one time for standing next to the juke box!
14. A few empty seat round about him! Ah, they would all have been filled no doubt but as it was the very end of the game most would have left for home, of course! Full house was it? You can only imagine the shit that would have been eminating from shitsville had they won and put us bottom. Oh, that last minute equaliser was soooooooooooo sweet
15. England are going for the 2018 World Cup. Oh, 99 btw!
16. I said the same thing about 4 months ago and people laughed, Burley is clearly a great coach who can get players to play better. 34934 Sorry to sound like a 'two-shite' but I was putting his name forward even longer than that. And, like you, I was laughed at. He took Ipswich up to the premiership; finished 7th (I think) in his first season and eventually got relegated. He then took over Derby when they were really struggling in the Championship and turned them around, taking them towards the top (into the play-offs). Now he's gone to Hearts and everyone can see what's happening there. The thing is, that all these clubs are not exactly the size that we are. He has done a pretty good job wherever he's been. I'm not certain, but most of the talent that has come out of Ipswich in the last few years, were products of the system put in place by Burley. The one potential problem is the question of why he left Derby when things were going relatively well? There were suggestions that he turned up for training pissed, but I'm not certain if that is true. It is unlikely to happen, but Burley is well worth consideration if Souness does get the bullet.
17. On MOTD2??? I watched it but can't remember any 'woman in pink'. I have taped it, so will have another look some time today. Saw a little lad in blue and white with horse-like teeth who didn't appear too happy!!!
18. Did anyone see the documentary the other night on the Glasgow 'hoods'? The main guy they were talking to (can't remember his name) was just like someone you would have next door! He didn't appear anything dangerous, yet the stories associated with him and the people he knows (or knew considering how many people have been executed) were truly frightening imo. Scary stuff.
19. You meant 66% general threads right? Maybe it's because we debate an NUFC issue then leave it, rather than flogging it like a dead horse and creating 'I wish Robert was here' threads every other day. 35023 Agreed. *wishes Hughie Gallagher was still here*
20. I haven't been able to get on for ages now. I just get the 'cannot find server' message. I don't try that often as now that we're here in this 'gentlemen's club' (with the odd intern eg Alreetlike, Catmag, Toonraider) things are pretty good imo. The GREAT site might have more football chat but, surely, quality is superior to quantity
21. *coughs, splutters and snorts to let people know he's still alive*
22. The sun has got his hat on, hip hip hip hip hooray, the sun has got his hat on 'caus Newcastle won away. Now we'll all be happy, hip hip hip hip hooray, now we'll all be happy 'caus Newcastle won away.
23. Stevie Wonder got a cheese grater for Christmas. He says it's the most violent book he's ever read!
24. Eee, so it does! I learn something new every day. (wonder how many people went and did it after reading that info - like me)
