  1. Don't know what it is with Cisse but everytime he gets a bit of time in front of goal he always seems to never put them away but give gim a split second and he'll knock it in no bother
  2. Shame to let him go as he's been one of our better players these past few month and has performed better than Cabaye in that time too. Not sure letting him go would benefit us either as I doubt the club would want to fork out a fee for what they'll see as a back-up CM and will probably promote from within. You can't really blame him for wanting to go either as he's not first choice and will get it at clubs lower down the league.
  3. Hoyed a fiver on Synchronised to win for £45 returns. It'll go a little way towards paying to make little kids cry at paintballing the morn
  4. I think playing in a 2 man CM partnership against alot of teams who are now playing 3 in there and having played most of his time at Lille in a 3 man midfield won't be helping him either. It's no doubt a bit of bad form, I just hope it doesnt go on for long especially since we'll need everyone at their best if we are to push on in these last few games for a European place.
  5. Because CT pisses his pants in excitement over the littlest thing that any non-gompa would know not to get excited about. If he'd have seen Obertan pre-season for Man Utd CT would have banged on about how we had the new Ronaldo on our hands. Also see Ferguson and Lua-Lua for him building players up after which we, and others, have seen very little of for him to build them up so highly Unfortunately CT got carried away in his similarities and somehow it stuck on him. Hope this lack of form isnt gonna keep on going for the next few games as I cant remember the last game in which he stood out and didnt let the game drift by him.
  6. Because for the past few games our centre mid has been pretty anonymous for getting on the ball and passing it on, its mostly consisted of either getting the ball to Jonas or completely by passing the midfield by hitting it long to Ba/Cisse, this way we'll be more able to match up Arsenals midfield as they'll try and make the pitch as big as possible using their wide players. Plus we need to adapt our game instead of haing plan A as 4-4-2 and plan B as bringing Ben Arfa on when things arent going to good
  7. Would preferably go with a 4-3-3/4-5-1 with Ben Arfa coming in for Cisse and Guthrie in for Taylor as I think if we line up 4-4-2 we could have another Tottenham performance on our hands.
  8. Pleased for him, no one was expecting anything from him at the start of the season (myself included) but he's performed well above what was expected of him, he's became a vital player for us this season and has done his job well.
  9. I think a change of formation might be needed against Arsenal, especially if Pardew is thinking of accomodating Ben Arfa into the side. I would probably go with taking Cisse out it's even though he's done nothing wrong, it's just if we dont change to a 4-3-3/4-5-1 then i think we could see another Tottenham performance especially against Arsenals 3 CM's and the pace theyve got in the team. I'd bring in Guthrie aswell to play alongside Tiote and Cabaye in place of Taylor aswell.
  10. I thought Gutierrez was one of our better players on Sunday, he was always there as an option and was always trying to get at their defenders, because we were getting nothing through the middle of the park attacking wise. He kept getting left by himself to take on two players as Taylor was doing a Simpson and sitting back, instead of getting beyond him.
  11. I'm not disputing how good an individual he is, I just think if he were to leave the chance to bring in 2 big athletes that are both quick and can bully strikers is one I would seriously consider taking. I think it's about evolving more than overhauling so that wasn't the best choice of words on my part but I just see him being such a difficult player to find the right partner for because of what he lacks, where as signing 2 players that are capable of former a better partnership could be the better option to make us stronger back there. Do you realise what little sense you are trying to make?
  12. Utter nonsense. Not even going to get into it. Because their isn't a shit point for you to get into.
  13. Nope, you just pick up everyone on the shittest of points all of the time, which is what he done just there, because apparently you can't play have more than one preference for where you want to play in a team. Unfortunately for Ben Arfa, I really don't see a part of him in the team with Pardew. The chance to get him starting games was before we signed Cisse, as there was always that one position which was always up for grabs and no one had nailed it down, yet he wasnt getting picked ahead of Shola and Best.
  14. Has Monroe Transfer hacked your account or something?
  15. I think that stems from Pardew not having the faith in him to let him go out and play his natural game and seems to be the one that isnt given a chance when others are getting them. I think it's clear for most people to see that Pardew just doesn't think he fits into this team and isn't willing to manouver his tactics to fit him in.
  16. Exactly, you can count on one hand the number of times he's started in his preferred position of CF/RW/LW and 3 of those were against 3 of the top 4 clubs in England, in 2 of those he won us a penalty and set up Ba twice who was unlucky not to score and then after a poor first half against Chelsea he hasn't been given a run in the team and from an outsider looking in, it seems as though Pardew just doesn't fancy him and doesn't want to give him that chance to show what he can do apart from cameo's from the bench in which he's not playing in his naural position hes got 3 preferred posistions? no wonder even Pardew doesn't know where to play him. anyone want to tell me where he really wants to play, perhaps with a quote from the player, and not some load of Football Manager seudonyms? I think this could be half the problem with him, where to play him. You know, on the left or right of a 4-3-3 formation, eg where Sturridge/Walcott plays for their clubs or behind a lone striker like Van der Vaart does, or is that too complicated to understand?

Not really. My point was when he was shown confidence to start him in his favoured position he delivered performances, but when played out of position and as a substitute his performances werent up to scratch, which people are battering him for and saying his lack of playing time is vindicated because of that, which it shouldn't be. Yet others are/were getting a run in the team for a lot less.

  19. Not saying he should but whether we win, lose or draw the majority of people are picking out Simpson, Obertan and Ben Arfa for criticism no matter how anonymous or poor other players are, those three names always get brought up, whilst others get free rides.
  20. There was only one team yesterday who wanted to win the game and it certainly wasnt us, Wolves were hungry for it but our players were way to complacent throughout the 90 minutes, as if they thought they had the win in the bag from the kick off.
  21. I don't think anyone has "singled him out" it's just he does not merit the blind man-love he get's from way to many. It's the logic behind everyones reasoning for why we lose that gets to me. If we lose and Obertan plays it's Obertans fault. if we lose and Ben Arfa doesnt play its Pardew's fault. If Ben Arfa plays and doesnt live up to his almighty expectations its reason for him not to play whilst others have poor games and none of them get mentioned. Look at Cabaye yesterday, he done nothing, Ba was poor aswell. People are scapegoating the same players over and over again without looking further afield
  22. There were much worse players on the pitch for us yesterday, why not have a look at the others performances instead of keep blaming the same players over and over again ffs?
