Sorry, even if you were correct, it would never be that simple. People don't spend millions on things purely to spite others. The things Ashley has done/authorised are more down to bad advice, and not keeping his two highest profile businesses - NUFC and Sports DIrect - at arm's length. Hyperbole or not I don't know, but I don't think there's any malicious intent. At worst, he just doesn't care about us all that much. Shepherd is a fan, so yes I agree that he did things for us (or rather, didn't do things to anger us like renaming SJP). That he also did plenty for himself has been covered by others. GTFO if you think Ashley taking bad advice it to why he totally disregards the fans, seriously? The difference is everything Ashley does is totally pre-meditated to fuck off the fans, look at the past few things he's done, all of them have been done when theres a break between home games so it all dies down by the time the next home game comes around. No matter what he does it's to totally go against what the fans believe and want. Yes, Shepherd and Hall did things for themselves too but they didnt throw it in the face of all the fans because the knew we were the heartbeat of the club. CT's stance sums it up perfectly for me, back in the days of Shepherd and the Halls the fans would be up in arms if they done what Ashley's been doing but now theres a feeling between a large section of fans where the things Ashley has done has took the passion out of the fanbase because they think theres nothing we can do, he's drove the passion out of some of the fans and its spreading like wildfire.

Quality post btw my feelings summed up exactly The biggest change I feel theres been between the ownership of Shepherd and the ownership of Ashley is the former ran it for the fans and what meant most to us and Ashley is running it to spite us.

Were gonna be missing four players from the spine of our team, anyone would struggle with that so I'm not holding much hope for a positive result. Hopefully the strikers and whoever replaces Cabaye step their game up. I'd drop Shola and shift Ben Arfa behind Best and have R Taylor and Gosling coming into the team.

How Shola is ahead of him after his dire performances this season is beyond me. If you wanna go on about lazyness and tracking back then Shola is at the top of the list and not Ben Arfa

Just got into playing the head to head seasons. Got successive promotions with a record of won 8 drew 2 and lost 1. Chelsea are the ultimate team to be on it, put them 4-1-2-1-2 and defensive and let the magic happen.

Why are we going for Tomkins? He's absolutely horrible, whenever I've seen him he's James Perchesque, he can't defend at all.

Thing is with having two right footers playing on the left is that the opposing team could just shut them out coming inside and just show them on the outside which could be a downfall of not having a right foot/left foot combo down the left.

I think he'll more than likely go for a fringe player/first team line-up with Perch, Sammy, Vuckic, Gosling, Obertan, Ben Arfa, Best/Shola probably starting which is what I'd probably go with. Either way we should win this easily enough. I'll gan with a 2-0 to us.

Best atmosphere of the season so far and best team performance in a while. Not one player didn't look up for it or didn't put a shift in. Ba's performance was a joy to behold aswell, he was completely unplayable didn't give any Man U player a minutes rest. BTW of course Pardew deserves some credit for us beating Man U, every club might aswell just sack their manager if all you need to do is put 11 players on the pitch and have your fingers crossed the players put in a performance, so stop being mongs and enjoy it and stop trying to look for somethingt o complain about when theres no reason too.

Krul Simpson Williamson Colo Santon Vuckic Tiote Cabaye Jonas Ben Arfa Ba Is probably the best formation to go with to suit the best players we have available and so we dont get over ran by Man U. Hopefully it'll help stop the long ball we seem to be persisting with the past few games aswell and we'd be better able to keep the ball, especially with the midfield and forwards being more than capable technically. They need to totally change the default players you get when you play club games, their overall must be about 33 and can't do the simplest of things like pass straight, or run faster than 2mph. Virtual Pro's are useless half the time aswell and cant pass or shoot 1st time like you can in manager mode, no amtter what rating your pro is. So much needs improved on it, but unless Pro Evo gives it a decent challenge then FIFA's gonna continue trotting out the same game with the same crappy servers.

At the start of the season I'd have been chuffed to little bits and pieces to finish 8th-10th. But being where we are now and the platform we have to kick on and challenge for 7-5th I'd be disappointed if the start weve had wasn't capitalized on in January Transfer window and our matches through to the end of the season.
