Premiership Team of the Season:
StoneColdStephenIreland replied to The Fish's topic in Newcastle Forum
Vorm Walker Kompany Colo Enrique Valencia Dempsey Fellaini Mata Yakubu RVP -
Would love him here. I always wondered whether he'd be able to keep up the form he had in the Championship on the bigger stage, but this season he's probably been the reason Swansea havent been sucked into the relegation battle. I think it would depend on whether we continue with the 4-3-3 formation we tend to play now and if Guthrie does leave. Plus as has been said the lad looks a danger from set pieces and has got good delivery, something we've been alcking as I cant remember the last time we scored from a corner and i think we've only scored twice from direct free-kicks.

How the fuck is Chamberlain in there? He's literally done fuck all and hasnt even played in most of Arsenals games ffs! Krul, Colo and Ba should be in there somewhere if Bale, Rooney and Parker are in there as theyve all had average seasons -
NEWCASTLE UNITED ARE IN EUROPE

Those three players were all free's though and Ba hasnt got a dodgy injury record -
Modric will be away, most likely to Chelsea Not sure if Adebayor will stay, City may demand a permanent transfer Friedel is old but hasn't cost them any points due to his age, yet I wouldn't be surprised if Bale goes I reckon their funds are going to be allocated towards replacing Modric, Bale and getting a striker. I think Saha and Nelsens contracts are up at the end of the season? And I doubt they'd pay the money City will want for Adebayor, so there's 3 players needing replaced and if they dont get CHampions League then I see Modric going aswell, but I doubt they'd lose Bale unless a colossal offer comes in.

Behind Maiga and Erdinc? I think so. I think we didnt go for Cisse in the summer because we were quoted £13 million for him, if he was going for the £7-10 million Maiga and Erdinc were rumoured to be going for, we'd have bid for him then -

Tbh I'm not arsed how much he pays, just as long as we get the right player(s) in, for the positions we need upgrading/cover for. -
Pardew's been the perfect man for the job tbh. Balancing off the field incidents with on the field results. Fergie couldnt have done what Pardew's done in his time here taking all things into consideration. I'm super fucking serious, mother fuckers!

Aye, seen the highlights before, that youngin' should have been sent off for definite, Pugh twice and Brown aswell. Warnock summed up his twatty bastardness by bollocking the youngin on the sideline as he was going off.

Newcastle United Player of the Season 2011/2012
StoneColdStephenIreland replied to Gene_Clark's topic in Newcastle Forum
Shane Ferguson. Held together our season with the short cameo displays we've came to know and love. -
I think the criticism he gets is well over the top tbh and is under-rated as a FB. Plus I bet if Santon had made 7 clearances off the line or Colo thered me man-protein being spilt everywhere praising them bit for some reason since it's Simpson he isn't getting the credit he deserves.

Thing is Williamson only knows two passes, sideways to Coloccini and lump it forward onto no-one and with Colo being injured it only means one thing when we get the ball in defence...

Newcastle & European Qualification
StoneColdStephenIreland replied to loonyTOON's topic in Newcastle Forum
Surely Deaders could bullet point it for us? -
Bluddy tickets sold out quick for this so theres ganna be a bunch of part-timers/fair-weather fans there. First game I've missed all season and it's our most important one FFS! Bellamy and Gerrard fucking love playing against us, and with our back line atm, I'd take a draw right now.

Newcastle & European Qualification
StoneColdStephenIreland replied to loonyTOON's topic in Newcastle Forum
Not if Chelsea win it and finish outside of the top 4. Really? I'm sure that even if you win it and don't qualify via the league you dont get in, as they'd have to replace a team from somewhere in the earlier stages and it caused to much of a caffuffle doing that last time with Liverpool. Also they don't let the winner of the World Cup qualify for the next tournament, they still have to go through the qualifying stages, so I'm not sure why there should be an exception for the Champions League? So I'm just gonna sit here in me ignorance and believe I'm right until Blatter or Platini get back to is -

It doesnt matter if Chelsea win the Champions League, it doesnt effect us at all. You have to be in the top 4 to qualify for the Champions League. -

I thought after the Liverpool fiasco a few year ago after winning the Champs League and not qualifying for the Champions League via the Prem which meant having to be put in at the earliest round, that even if you win the Champions League and dont qualify for it via the Prem you dont get into the Champions League? Just read that back and make what sense of it you will -

Surely Deano will be available? The transfer window's coming up and he'll be going batty not being able to tell people what players we should be signing next year -
Even in his interview after the game he was all smiles. Looks to me as though he feels as though the manager finally believes in him which earlier in the season it looked as though Pardew didnt
