Gary Speed, a sports manager, takes his own life and recieves a stupendous amount of respects and homage paid to him today. A soldier from 5 Rifles was also killed today, half Gary's age and died whilst serving our country, yet all he recieves is a ten second mention on the radio then the world forgets him. It is sad that Gary Speed died, but I hate that we live in a world where the only deaths we concern ourselves with are celebrities, not heroes Why does shit like this get rolled out everytime someone dies, and the word "hero" all of a sudden meaning "someone who may have been a cunt but signed a form saying he'd be paid to join the army, and noone else from any other walk of life" ffs.

Fuck sake Deadman I have both, I had the old type of ps3 for about a month before it stopped reading disks and I had to buy a new one . The Elite isn't the newest xbox, the slimline xbox is about as reliable as the slimline ps3, your personal experience doesn't over-rule ours. For the record I had the old style xbox for 4 years with no problems (it was stolen last year, although that's hardly Microsoft's fault ) and my brother's since bought a new 'un. The new 'un works wonders. I'm no fanboy of either console but I prefer the Xbox for gaming and the ps3 for blu-rays and the fact it's easier to patch pes and NCAA works on British ones. We're not all trying to undermine you by thinking the ps3 has faults man.

Oh and you're right the Asian tv deals are important... and how come Asians want to watch European leagues and not their own? Because they like good football! Even Asians would cringe having a group match of Thailand vs Malaysia, because the World Cup embodies good football, everyone around the world wants to watch the best football, hence why you watch the Premier League, Asia will watch the Euro's in the summer and noone from outside Asia watches the Asian Cup.

Main problem with Australia going to Asia is that they aren't fucking Asian. Why don't England just swagger along to CONCACAF, beat Costa Rica and have an easy ride? I can understand Israel being in Europe and Russia etc, but Australia in Asia? Why? Is there any reason other than easy qualification that means it's in there. It's only far if New Zealand and Tonga and everyone join Asia too and they combine the two confederations otherwise it's a total disgrace.

Is it fair to say all this "Holocaust Memorial Day" is bullshit. The reason the poppy day is so successful is that it commemorates all wars since 1914, not just WW1/WW2. The Holocaust is the worst genocide ever, but since there seems to be remembrance of it all the time maybe the best option is to have like a "Genocide Remembrance Day". One day to remember all the genocides, from Armenia (unless you're Turkish... i've never met a Turkish person who believes it happens, they seem to blame Western Europe for them killing Armenians ), Herero, Japanese in China, Rwanda, Holocaust to what's happened in Russia and China etc it'd be heaps more poignant. The Holocaust was despicable, but as someone said earlier there's an almost year-long remembrance of it, and having one day to remember all the Genocides ever would be a brilliant idea.

I learnt about the American Civil Rights movement in the last year of A Levels tbf. I was glad, one thing I fucking detest about our education system is (even now!) I can't go a single year without having to do Hitler or suffragettes... it gets so boring
