Sounds about right. Now, does anyone have a decent article about the Mackems' disintegration?

I was in Malaga that week and the only place I could find that would show it was a dodgy back-alley bar where I was very much the only person who gave any kind of shit about the match, or indeed football in general, or indeed anything not tangentially related to organised crime. Was a fun night.

Whereas it's been on the wane around here (not that it was ever anything more than a few people clapping while awkwardly acknowledging each other's existence for the first time ever, London being London). We're still out on the doorstep every Thursday even though it means we miss the first few minutes of that evening's rewatch of an old Eurovision. I reckon that makes us easily as dedicated as any key worker.

Mind, you encounter some right weirdos when you're out and about, sometimes it's better to be proactive and avoid them than risk them making something of it.

Fast-forward three hours:

There's a very good single album in Mellon Collie somewhere, the only problem is getting anyone to agree what should be on it.

Fuck me, the Mail are a bunch of snowflakes, aren't they? Not to mention hypocrites. Imagine the outraged thinkpieces they'd be writing if a nursery or a hipster café banned words like "mucky" to describe kids because it might hurt their feelings.

Thing is, I think it's human nature to think like that to an extent, and that's okay. I went to the local park to sit and read at lunchtime, and I was a bit pissed off at first by how many other people were there. But then you catch yourself and realise that obviously you're no different to them. And besides, you didn't drive 90 minutes to get there. And you aren't complaining about it on camera.

Negates the whole point of doing it on the cheap, but on the other hand, monster costumes. Tough call.

I was thinking of something a little more understated.
