Fair enough, but I can't see them finishing 3rd like we did in our first season. Good luck to them though. 54375 I agree with you there, 3rd would be a tall order. Thinking back to those days it makes me feel great inside, it was just a total joy to watch and it made you feel so proud. This is how we started the 94-95 season: Leicester 1 NUFC 3 NUFC 4 Coventry 0 NUFC 5 Southampton 1 West Ham 1 NUFC 3 NUFC 4 Chelsea 2 Arsenal 2 NUFC 3 NUFC 1 Liverpool 1 Villa 0 NUFC 2 25 goals in 8 games fanfu--ing tastic!!!!!!!

Well they haven't got the crowd or Keegan really, have they? 54334 Well they haven't got the crowd or Keegan really, have they? 54334 Can't quite see them breaking the world transfer record either 54336 They are the same in as much as they surprised everyone how well they are doing, 12 months prior to our promotion we nearly went down to the old 3rd Division and were on the brink of being bankrupt. Obviously things have vastly improved and Wigan are not on the same scale as us, but I find it refreshing that a team that is well coached and work hard can be high up in the Premiership. Looking at there next half dozen fixtures the bubble could well burst, but so far so good and fair play to them.

If you can dance you will pull simple as!!! Women love it.

Are Wigan that different to us, when we came back up to the top flight? I mean at the time we didn't have any real big names in the side apart from a 32 year old Beardsley, who many thought was past it. Cole was developing a reputation but the rest of the team were playing above themselves fuelled by the crowd, team spirit and Keegan.

Watched the Barcelona v Panathanikos match last night and it was an absolute joy to watch, great passing, movement, finishing. Barcelona are the team to watch and if there is any justice in football they should win the Champions League. The lad Messi was amazing great ability and vision, it really is like a breath of fresh air watching Barca and not a 4-5-1 to be seen!!!!!

Overrated Nah, it's well worth the visit mate. 37171 Australia was a funny one for me I had heard so much about it I spent the whole 6 months waiting for it to get better if that makes sense?! Don't get me wrong I had a great time but I have been to better places IMO and a lot nearer home, never made it to NZ and all my mates that have been to both without exception preferred NZ.

To say theres not a lot there would be an understatement... 37222 Nova Scotia that brings back memories, stayed in Antigonish quite a few years ago working on the Lobster boats during the season May and June. It was quiet but there was a nurse training school and St FX University so we kept ourselves entertained!!!

Eriksson is trying to fit in too many players, Lampard, Gerard, Beckham at the expense of the team, you have to play in your natural position and if that means leaving out a big name so be it.

I was looking at our upcoming fixtures the other day, before we signed Owen and if we don't get a good haul of points from this lot then Souness (even with his latest signing) will be history. FS stated yesterday that he had done his bit in bringing in the players and it was now up to Souness to get the points.

Just watched Pedros Solano vid, lump to the throat! Great that Nobby's back he can see a pass and cross very well, hopefully he can supply the bullets for the front players. I also think that he will compliment Emre (when fit) as they are both clever players.

I cannot abide Meatloaf, over produced sentimental bollocks! And at the risk of upsetting the masses Pink Floyd leave me cold too.

It is, but I couldn't give a fuck. This is our money, hoarded from the past few years of spending naff all. Spend it. Plus it fucks the entire media and Liverpool off to boot. Exceptional. 22447 Chelsea have spent silly money on Wright Phillips, Essien, Drogba all of which are not as proven as Owen at International level yes its a lot of money but he will score goals. FOOKIN FANTASTIC!!!!!!!

Now thats more like it!!!

Maybe not, but you can guarantee he will be first on the team sheet for England, no matter where he plays, even if he stayed at Madrid. This world cup talk is a bit of a nonsense in my opinion. 6584 If he stayed at Real Madrid and didn't play, he could potentially lose his England place. 6586 This is a big season for Owen and other young England strikers, Rooney, Defoe they will all be putting a bit extra in to get to the world cup, Owen knows this and maybe a big maybe that could work in our favour.
-
Although I think Owen coming here is very unlikely, it is the season before the next World cup and Owen would be the first name on our team sheet, the same could not be said if he went to Man U.
