  3. Aye, he's a brilliant guitar player. Mind he's brilliant with any number of musical instruments. Ludicrously talented. Glad you agree He is so often overlooked when people talk about great guitar players.
  4. I don't doubt you'll have plenty to spend, but the bigger question is who can you attract ? No doubt there will be domestic players that would play for Roy Keane but how far does his appeal stretch ? I would suggest that Keane's appeal would stretch a hell of a lot further than a certain Mr Roeder! Keane love him or loathe him (the latter personally) was a truly world class player respected and known throughout Europe, where as our leader was a journeyman footballer that very few outside of England would of ever heard of. Plus the fact that Keane has played under the likes of Clough and Ferguson, there is every chance that he will be a top class manager, one thing you can't deny about Keane is that he's a winner and that quality shines through.
  5. Agreed, Reading is a crap night out. Totally disagree. But then again I am a student. High Wycombe is bloody awful and so is Woking.
  6. I went down to Branscombe beach (I live in Sidmouth) on the Monday after it happened and although there were quite a few folk on the beach most people wer registering the stuff they found with the authorities and the police were handing out forms. Later that day it started to get out of hand and many people in the village had there property damaged or stolen (mainly wheelie bins) which people used to take there loot away from the area. I did see 2 BMW bikes on the back of pick up trucks and about 20 gear boxes on pallets ready to be picked up, but most people mainly women were sifting through the L'oreal skin products that had been washed up. My skin has never been so GOOOOOD!!!
  7. Having been Born in Newcastle Brought up in Devon Glaswegian mother I personally really like regional dialects and think its a shame that most 'young uns seem to have this none distinct "Eastenders Chav street" dialect which is just so boring to listen too. Not to mention sounding like thick like. Oh and by the way I think a Mancunian accent always sounds a bit on the gay side.

  10. For Us it would have to be Pedro closely followed by Shearer. I think Pedro was unfortunate that in his pomp English teams were banned from Europe imo he would of gone on to be a worldwide name if he had played in Europe in his time at Liverpool. Loved Cruyff Pele Zola Zidane Henry Zico Maradona Baresi

    Roeder

No offence but I don't think the squad is theat great! We have a great first choice keeper in Given, but the defence is Championship quality at best, the midfield is full of dwarfs and the best player recently up front is a 32 year old free transfer from Man City!! We are in real danger of relegation this season after not getting in players during the summer which we all knew we needed.
  15. Harewood is too inconsistant, big powerful but not the quality that we need to replace Shearer (not possible I know) I would rather have Ashton but I can't see that happening.
  16. Zidane gave one of the all time great performances against Brazil, out showboating the showboaters and plenty of end result. It's no wonder that everyone that has worked with ZIdane are in awe of him (Beckham, Henry) past his best yes but maybe he has got enough about him for one last hurrah. You can see the confidence flowing back into the French and this is mainly down to Zidane's performance.
  17. Ribery looked fantastic (footballing wise) afer he had scored he has got great skill and could cause Brazil a lot of problems.
  18. Hope OZ win this one, I think there will be an upset in this round and thank god it wasn't us yesterday so maybe this could be the upset!! COME ON OZ
  19. We did alright first half, and even in the second which was awful when we played football we got into good positions. Sven is a bit of a worry!! but hopefully player power will prevail like it did in Italia 90, when under Robson the players decided the system that we should play and it nearly paid off. What is alarming is that the FA have appointed McLaren to do the job and he is very much involved tactically judging by the tv pics of him with his tactic chart in hand!!!
  20. Ours is a definate dirge and its not at all rallying. Of the old school it should be Land of hope and glory!

    Jury Service

I was on the jury for a rape case about 12 years ago, it was very harrowing but you felt like you were doing something that was worth while. One old boy on the jury would of agreed with anything as long as he could catch the next bus home and didn't have to wait for a later one!! he really pissed me off can you imagine someone's liberty is at stake and all you are concerned about is getting home in time to watch f--king Eastenders!!!!!!!!!! The guy was found guilty and got 6 years.
