  1. I went to see Springsteen years ago I wasn't a fan just went for a day out and he was absolutely fantastic live. He is a great performer if you get the chance to see him just go and like me you might just enjoy it.
  2. When I was repping years ago in Greece we had a lass called Wendy House stay on the island.
  3. Thassos Island in Greece Where I used to have a bar.
  4. Roeder has done a good job since he has been in charge, but I think this is a missed opportunity and I am not very excited by the appointment if true. Fat Fred this better be right or it's curtains for you me old brothel creeper.
  5. Lidl's is excellent for things like fruit juices, yoghurts and the fruit and veg are very reasonable. The cereals are very good as well and the likes of weetabix are on sale there. All the household cleaning products are cheap aswell, you can save a hell of a lot of money by doing the majority of your shop there. HOW Fu--ing sad am I

  8. She'll do for me I think she's LUSH
  9. Arsenal were superb last night and an absolute joy to watch, to think that we used to play like that not so many years ago is so sad. Henry seemed to be 5 yards quicker than usual last night, and at times was unplayable, Juve resorted to fouling as they had lost the plot and were embarassed by the Arsenal pace and movement. Fabregas not even 19 yet and what a talent, Wenger is building another great footballing team and for me Arsenal still play the best football in the premiership, a joy to watch.
  10. It's to do with the European city of culture 2008 which has been awarded to Liverpool.
  11. Louis Armstrong would make a great biopic.
  12. A 31-year-old woman and a man of 29 were last night being quizzed in connection with the raid. The woman was held after she tried to open a building society account in Bromley, Kent, with bundles of cash. Stunned staff called police as she pulled out around £6,000 in used notes from her handbag that was bound with tape marked Tonbridge . A Kent police source said last night: "She could be a vital link to further arrests. "We have to look at the possibility that this person was actually trying to bank cash received in good faith from a third party. We have to make sure she is questioned on what she knows of the person or persons who supplied the cash to her." Not the sharpest tool in the box!!!!
  13. AAAHHHH Pedro What a joy it was to watch that man play the beautiful game Truly world class
  14. 2-1 for me things are getting better but there is a lot of work to do yet.
  15. I am also a non smoker and I feel it will be very hard to enforce. I hate the habit but I don't bleat on about it I leave that to the born again non smokers!! that have recently kicked the evil drug addiction.
  16. Bellamy is a talented footballer, no doubt about that his energy and speed cause defences problems and he is a loss to our team. But he is obnoxious, not a great finisher ( a subject that was often pointed out on endless posts not so long ago) and very injury prone with dodgy knees about 18 months ago he was ready to pack it in, I doubt whether he will play much longer than 30. I know you can point to Owen on the injury front and say what's the difference? and as far as my opinions being influenced by that twat Souness please give me a break!!!! Not so long ago (before Souness ) we were undoubtedly playing better but there was a problem with the personnel in the squad and for me anyway it was difficult to like Bellamy, Robert, Dyer and there attitudes, OK they should be judged by what they do on the pitch but if they had been playing for anyone else they would of appeared in the players you love to hate posts.
  17. Dennis Wise I could smack the little chirpy cockney tw-t Gary Neville nearly as punchable as Wise!!! Arjen Robben rate him but he is a cheat Craig Bellamy did a good job with us but what a gobshite Laurent Robert flashes of brilliance but I think we have seen him for what he really is.
  18. Why aye man, it would mean you wouldn't have to do all the "manly" jobs around the house as your lesbo wife would have her shirt sleeves rolled up and be knacker deep in whatever needed doing! Only problem I can foresee is when she wants to don the strap on! Just choked on me KitKat
  19. I couldn't think of anywhere worse to buy a property!!! OK you might make money but the place is so totally false. I saw the programme about Dubai the other week and when terrorism was mentioned by the reporter the Arabs didn't even reply!!
  20. Hope everything works out well. Don't mind admitting that I looked at the pics with tears in my eyes. He is in the best place and I'm sure things will improve soon. All the best to you and your family.
  21. Taylor's injury is a tragedy, I fear that he will never be the same player again as a shoulder injury for a centre half at his age is probably the worst injury you can get. Souness in my eyes has put Taylors career at risk and that is unforgiveable. He should be sacked asap.
  22. Barcelona is a wonderful city, go for it!!! 3 months will just fly by, and you can watch football as it should be played!!!!!!
  23. Its David Essex Rock On!!! Fuck I'm an anorak!! an old anorak!!!

    My Dad

Sweet left peg Sorry to hear of your sad loss, I know how you are feeling as I lost the old fella a couple of years back. RIP
  25. Pardon, but how do you conclude the players were performing above themselves when we came back up? Many of the players Keegan signed, notably Venison, Beresford, Lee, Bracewell, Sellars and Beardsley were all top flight players already. Who thought Beardsley was past it? I don't recall anybody believing anything other than this was a tremendous signing at the time it happened, I don't recall hearing anyone claiming it was a gamble because he was past it. Wasn't he banging in the goals the season before? 54573[/snapback] As has been pointed out Hall wasn't keen to sign Beardsley, thank god he did Beardsley was a revelation he is still my favourite player ever to play for the Toon and if anything he was better in his second spell at the club than his first. Bracewell had overcome terrible knee problems and was doing a great job, when he was at Everton as a youngster he was fantastic and then the injuries put a downer on his career. Lee was developing at the time of our promotion and obviously went on to be one of the best midfielders we have ever had at the club. Beresford came to prominence in Portsmouths FA cup run when they beat Liverpool at Anfield, we gave him his chance in the top flight and he did a great job better going forward than defending but a class act. Sellars was very under rated had a gem of a left foot and was a great passer of the ball. Venison had dodgy hair and dress sense!!! oh and he could play a bit. They were all top players that had been put together in the same team by Keegan and they gelled brilliantly, a little like Clough had done at Derby and Forrest with seasoned pros and new talent. Fair enough maybe they were not playing above themselves but some of them certainly had a new lease of life.
