Edited for accuracy, Scotty I wouldn't know mate. Will you be lending your expertise? Happy to help. Anyone who's not happy with the level of cuntdom they've managed to achieve so far in their lives, and in need of any assistance, please feel free to PM me. Cheers.

She's missed out on grand kids cos of that little faux pas. Oh, I dunno. There's always gay adoption...

I dunno about that. What about Tommy Cooper?

Random, uninteresting contribution but...here goes: I nearly ran Ross Noble over last summer during the Edinburgh Fringe. Silly twat stepped out into the road in front of me. Ironic, considering I was off to see a comedy show myself, and later discovered he was actually making his way to the same venue to get ready for his own show. Being such a natural comedian, I guess he must have known. my - he's such a clown. Genius.

winrar or winzip should do it. Cheers Laz. Top man! Will give that a whirl a bit later on.
-
Right - I downloaded this overnight, just got back to my home PC and tried to extract from the .rar format - but my WinAce evaluation trial expired 6 months ago...wondering if anyone can give me some pointers on how to open this thing? I'm still seeding it so hopefully there'll be some nice person able and willing to help?

Obviously looking a bit more closely than the rest of us. Great result - beating the Jocks was just the tonic. Had Scotland won, I could have expected a day of endless bollocks from gloating Scotsmen...but instead I just sat at work with a rather self-satisfied grin on my face whenever anyone mentioned the rugby. Not a great fan of rugby, but this is about national pride. -
Josh Rouse - Nashville Brilliance.

Why the smile btw? Probably for exactly the same reason as any amateur angler attaches a maggot to the hook, I should imagine

Such cynicism is not altogether ill-founded. Coming from the same government who coined the phrase "A good day to bury bad news"...leads you to think BBC's The Thick of It is actually documentary, not comedy.

quite a large number quietly support the extremists mate, IMO. More than are prepared to admit. Comments like this make you come across as someone who blames the majority because of a few bad! not really arsed with the cliche you spout mate. Fact is, there are LOTS of people out there quite prepared to inflict serious harm on innocent civilians and quite a lot too who back them up but aren't saying so. Over the past couple of years, this problem has slowly escalated, despite some people saying it wouldn't. Is it becoming more obvious by now that while we pussyfoot with these people it will continue. You don't understand, they don't want to be British, and they want gullible people like you to think what you do and continue doing so. Whilst you may have a minor point here about the phenomenon of "the enemy within" - I'm afraid (as ever with you) your treatment of the issue is rather unilinear, ill-informed and just a bit exaggerated, with the net effect being you look like a completely irrational gibbering ape jumping up and down in its cage at the zoo.

Plus they can't take holidays in school time, so flights cost a fucking fortune. Plus they give up most of their nights, generally leaving work at nearly 7pm every night, and then going home to work. Most of you wouldn't last a week as a teacher. Shearergol hits the nail right on the head there. Cushy pension...yeah right!? Teachers should get paid danger money in some inner city schools - with the way some kids are today, the way they behave, and the fact that teachers' authority had been undermined by various "human rights" legislation - it's more a case of being a riot control officer without the protective safety equipment. As for those who are willing to tar all teachers with the same brush, saying that they underperform...jesus wept...they must be few and far between. Where's the parental responsibility in all of this?

Indeed. And I'm a smoker, but it's about rights to self-determination as much as it is about your right to breathe clean air - which I support, by the way. However, the smoking ban is all about marginalising a group of people who choose to do something others find abhorrent (bit like fox hunting) - and really the Govt should have allowed certain pubs to maintain a smoking area as a halfway house. The net result of smoking ban (in the current form as seen in Scotland) has been to make pubs far nicer places for everyone to be in - but it's also made the doorways and entrances of pubs a veritable haven for smoking pariahs in bad weather. Plus, the pubs now smell entirely different, but by Christ, they still smell...

And they're off!

Sometime I think I'm sat at this computer reading the ridiculous self-regarding musings of a gibbering ape, then I take a sharp intake of breath, shake my headm, rub my eyes and realise HTT has just made another spectacular contribution to the world wide web. Odd.
-
Exactly what I thought before they introduced the smoking ban up here in Scotland, and damn it, I'm still smoking...although to be honest, I've not drummed up the willpower yet to quit. But quit I must, it's done way too much damage to my life, my health and my bank balance and it's just damn crazy carrying on. Hats off to the quitters in this thread. Keep going. I hope to join you in a couple of months.

Quoted for truth.

Aye, you could try speaking to Jaffa. Pretty sure you couldn't handle the realities of being a school teacher as well as he does. Nowt like it was back in your day, unfortunately.

Yeah, that's exactly what we do. Sometimes for 16 hours a day if we're very lucky. And to think you have the cheek to moan on about crap pay, when you're feet up playing GoldMiner and Mahjong all night. I dunno, bloody NHS - what's it all coming to eh? Hey, I've had 3 busy nights out of 4 this week! 3 babies delivered safely, 2 burst stomach ulcers repaired, and a wrist pinned back together on a bloke who fell over pissed. I'm an angel Nah, I'm making up for the last 10 years of 16-hour days, being shit on (literally) and having dead people throw up down my uniform. I'm due a bit of respite Always amuses me how, in the public sector, its predominantly the people at the coalface, providing frontline services who get the shite wages, whilst the managers and accountants reel in the fat cat salaries and bonuses. Something wrong there. Something very wrong.
