Yeeeesssss, a mate of mine has one, they're great! The necks are fantastic.

I demand a source for this.

I honestly think he'll be fine, I don't think he'll post the 14 goals or whatever his best for burnley was, because I don't think he'll play enough to do so. But by next season we'll be the best side he's ever played in, and he has a record of getting goals in the league. He'll do fine.

And this is the bid edwards was backing -
I think so too, with trippier and whoever we bring in at left back supplying actual crosses and a preseason training with the squad I can see him having much better output next season. He's managed at least ten every season for a chronically uncreative burnley side before now.

Is there anything in that tweet that isn't just a summary of stuff we all already know? edit: or that isn't completely unverifiable if it doesn't happen

If the Ekitike deal is happening then I reckon we should go for Cavani on a free. Perfect mentor, can still bang the goals in, big name. Its a terrible idea, but he is one of those players I've always wanted to play for us.
-
If its between us and everton theyve got to spend very carefully and we can probably offer him more money with a more visbly upwardly mobile club.
-
Didn't realise he's only been at City two seasons, we need more depth at CB and he can cover left back as well which is useful.
-
I'm not sure about that one, I think he thinks hes a midfielder but has almost always played at left back for City. He's obviously got some quality, you don't get picked by Pep so much if you don't but he's also always the first person they're trying to replace. Is he a defender? Can he managed being a defender in a team that don't dominate games all the time? If not is he still actually a midfielder when hes played at left back so much? Weird one.

If that is true and our response isn't to immediately walk away laughing our bollocks off we deserve to get fleeced all summer

An absolutely apoplectic wyki in 5...4...

Haven't read any entry but some good takes in there, one of the few places I've seen actually writing down that Lampard actually had no better a record than Benitez.

Newsflash for you there mate -
Depending on other suitors I would be tempted by Tolisso, just left Bayern on a free after having a really rough time with injuries for them. Its a rite of passage for new money clubs to sign someone who is permanently injured who could be class if he ever played, I think this could be ours.

He was, then he accepted the Austria job and was going to split roles, now he's just going to Austria. The Rangnick plan made so much sense when it first happened, genuinely looked like Man U had realised what was wrong and were actually sacrificing a season to get their big picture back on track and yet it has managed to go completely haywire before the seasons even fully over. -

Not at all, liverpools xg was 6.12 across their three finals this season and they scored 0. Nothing confusing about it, they bottled it in front of goal and were lucky to come away from those games with two cups. -
All of them play different positions, that makes no sense
-
I think he meant the crybaby routine

They're not rivals on the pitch, or locally, currently our ambitions are similar but ours will outstrip theres in a couple of seasons. Their fans acted like cunts when we went down and I've hated their current manager for years before he was associated with them, thats not a rivalry, they're just dickheads so I want them to fail.

There are some big names with a year left on their deals this summer, good deals can be picked up. https://theathletic.com/3328691/2022/05/26/salah-ronaldo-messi-deals/

I think thats Ashworths job, hes not a "director of football" in as much as that role has a lot to do with first team scouting and transfers, at brighton hes been 'Sporting Director' and has had an overview of all of the football side of the club, with various heads of departments all reporting to him, which should include scouting.

I feel like we have target positions to strengthen but we're also now in a position where if we're approached by an agent or a club with an offer of a player that would strengthen us we would actually do something with it regardless of position.
