Now that they've made their move, post a picture of some keys and ask if anyone knows who they belong to.- 756 replies

I've worked with some canny big charities! I'm bound by confidentiality, but I'm yet to work with one that wasn't completely above board.

Having worked with a number of charities, the vast majority are not simply lining the pockets of the wealthy. Most are run by people who care about the cause and are generally remunerated less than they would have been in the private sector in similar role.

Newcastle sign four year shirt deal with ''Wonga''

Growing up in Wallsend (born in 83), scotchy was just a term for a charver. We started using charver a bit later on. -
It'll come. He was far from impressive, but he still managed to have 3 or 4 good chances. I'd be more concerned if he wasn't getting the chances.

We're not the best fans, we're not the worst. We're a canny set of fans.

Newcastle United v Tottenham Hotspur
BigWalrus replied to Christmas Tree 's topic in Newcastle Forum
Sorry, like, but that's just not true. We played keep ball in our own half for long spells and Tiote was central to it. -
Big drinker and poor trainer according to Man City supporting mate.

Aye, he's a good signing for them. It definitely says that O'Neill is playing in the only way he knows - direct football with two wingers and a big lad up front. The derby game could be a cracker!

1. Turn off safe search. 2. Search for "lee ryder" on Google Image search. 3. Don't do it again.

Dream move for him, not so much of a dream move for us since we already have Ben Arfa, Gutierrez and Marveaux, with the likes of Sammy and Obertan lurking in the background. He's looked brilliant in some games and been completely anonymous in the rest (ie most of them). For £10m and £70k a week, there are better options out there. We only have a limited amount of money to spend, and blowing £10m (plus £3m+ a year on wages) on a position where we're already reasonably strong is just silly. We'd be far better off focussing on CB/RB/Striker, which is thankfully what we seem to be doing.

Wage str Wage structure is £45k a week tops. However, it is "broken" by way of paying out some canny chunky appearance bonuses. Ba's contract is like that, where his basic is about £25k but he gets a shit load for playing games, thereby removing some of the financial risk if he was to knack his knee. I imagine we'd have a similar system if we qualified for the CL. Same structure, but big bonuses for every CL game played and another big bonus for qualifying for it in the first place. It's performance related pay and it appears to be working. However, I wouldn't put any money on us qualifying for the CL any time soon. Top 6 again this season would be another cracking year.

Football started in about 1991 for me. I was 8 years old and wasn't really arsed before then.
-
Aye, wages would break our wage structure.

The picture on the bottom left - is that spunk on her tits?

It's staggering how predictable Martin O'Neill is. Does he ever try to sign anyone who's not a well known Premiership player?

Fair few of them openly admit that the idea of spending £500+ to go and watch a reserve team play is pushing it a bit, especially when the date was only confirmed a few days before. Let them have their fun. They'll get tired soon from all the excitement.

I didn't watch it but had the radio commentary on - they kept saying that none of the "fouls" Williamson was penalised for were actually fouls. They said the referee was giving a foul as soon as anyone went down, regardless of whether there was any contact, to the point where it was getting ridiculous. Commentator was talking about Obertan a lot. Said he was often in plenty space and had bags of energy and plenty life left in him right to the end, but rarely had a go at his man. They were pretty scathing about Marveaux, saying this was a good chance for him to impress and he did bugger all. Did Cisse touch the ball?
