Paul Merson predictably predicts a 5-0 "battering". http://www.skysports.com/opinion/story/0,,15205_8355410,00.html So I actually feel quite good about our chances, because he's clueless. -
You lot are so miserable.

Why is a lad on RTG interested in anything to do with Debuchy? Are Sunderland linked to him? -

I guess it's something he'll have picked up from English language experts like Simpson texting him.

Yup. This is an unpopular opinion but I don't think Pardew and his coaches are stupid. He gets plenty wrong and to be fair he's admitted to that on occasion. But he's with these players every day at work and he knows far far more about them as players and people than any of us ever will. It's more complex than playing a player constantly off the back of a decent 20 minute cameo or a good performance against a 10 man side. We're all armchair managers and pundits and that's the beauty of being a football supporter. Without that forums like this would be redundant and half the fun would have been taken out of following the sport. People should say what they think but appreciate they've not the got the insight and experience of professional managers like Pardew.

Has he done an interview in English yet? I remember when he joined the club, he couldn't speak a word of English and Olivier Bernard was his interpreter.

Love this thread.

He's excellent on the radio. I always tune into 606 on Saturdays post-matches.

I'd have been shocked too, a woman getting an offside call right...
