Well I think we were extraordinarily unlucky with injuries last season, which didn't help. But I agree. The thing about a lot of these young players is that a lot of them have at least got some first team (loan) experience. And by all accounts they've all done well. So basically most of that group are going to be significantly more reliable and ready than they were 12 months ago. We should, of course, have strengthened then and sent them out on loan at the start of last season. Not half way through it when we finally bought some players.

Would like to think the likes of Dummett and Good will prove their worth somewhat in the first team this coming season. Maybe Mbabu too.

Might as well put a bit of CT's piss (method) into the mix too.

Found this on NUFC-Forum. Suppose it doesn't look that bad there (talking about the shirt, not those shorts). But the white sponsor patch and the patch on the back (that noone has seen but you assume it'll be there anyway) almost ruin it. edit; honestly, get rid of the collar and don't give the sponsor its own patch (and preferably have the Wonga logo in black) and that'd be a really decent shirt. Shame.

Is there anybody else out there other than Gomis and Remy who tick the proverbial boxes (decent age, less than £10m, goalscorers etc)? I said Vydra the other day and read that Udinese want £15m for him this morning. So wo won't be going for him. Imagine though, all this TV money and if the Sky Sports claim comes to fruition, we'll have spent less than £7m (assuming that's our business done)

To be fair that Yaya Sonago has played so few times for Auxerre that he hardly counts either. Funnily enough Arsenal fans aren't too happy with this business so far this window either, especially given how Gazidis went on about how much money they've got to spend. I've seen a couple of cynical voices say the Suarez bids are just to keep the fans happy and thinking they're willing to spend that amount of cash, they don't actually expect to buy him. edit; and Arsenal and Man Utd already have very strong squads compared to us.

Stlll think we've got a real top future player on our hands. Remember he's only 22. Got flaws and wasn't at his best at times throughout last season, but that goes for all of them. To be honest Santon - Colo - MYM - Debuchy is a top level back 4 on paper (probably the most solid looking group in recent memory), all of them need to up their game next season.

To be fair it's not like Pardew is currently blessed with options up front. Perhaps if those in charge of player recruitment (not scouting) could do a better job, Pardew might be able to make our forward play look just a little better.
