I am optimistic. I'm not sure why exactly but I really hope we can just draw a line under this for everyone's sake. The death needs to stop, both sides need to just get on with their respective existences. Hamas disbanding is fine, what matters more is the safety and prosperity of the people.

It's actually not that bad from my reading of it. I mean, given the alternative is a literal genocide anyway.

Halcyon days.

Gordon feels like he's trying too hard, like he's trying to force it. He needs to settle down and start playing for the team again, go for fewer of these pointless shots from outside the box that just trickle into the keeper's hands A couple of seasons ago when he was at his best, he was running at people and buying fouls all over the place - now he seems like he's trying to go for goal all the time because he doesn't back himself or the team to find a way through. He needs some real work.
-
By DA 2 do we mean the DLC one that comes before the actual second one? Also how are you finding all of this graphically? You've managed to force through?
-
Interesting one aye. I'm sure they could do something for us on that front tbh.

Eddie Howe's Glorious Get Into Them Mags vs Thomas Partey's Former Club

I honestly think this is because we're just so abusive that they can't cope. Even before we realise they're rival club fans. -
She's a toxic mess of a woman who hates you as much as she loves you. So naturally, I was all over it.

I agree, it's a shit start to the season that probably does cost us a CL place unless we're very fortunate later in the year, but realistically we're not yet at the level where we can go year on year. into the CL. We need to reinvent ourselves a bit this season and that's just the reality of it. I would say the bigger priority at the moment is tying the exceptional players down so we don't have another summer like this one just gone and can build again properly. -

Apart from when Liverpool are handballing in the lead up to goals, I suppose. -
That's the kind of article that she writes about us occasionally to justify her existence. Patronising more than anything else. Frankly, theyre welcome to her.

Should be a good test of where we're at. Spurs think they're going to win the league.

Iraola's South Coast Softy Walters vs Eddie's Superstar Mags
Rayvin replied to Gemmill's topic in Newcastle Forum
I think that's fair from PL but attack aside I think we look better in other parts of the team. We look like a very strong, robust unit. Had we not lost Isak, I'd think we'd be challenging for the title this year on the evidence so far. -
Is Elanga a concern? He looks really good against Barcelona. I'm not sure I see him as someone who absolutely needs to be scoring, even if it would be nice if he was.
-
Attacking big pharma? Discrediting science and intellectualism? I honestly think despite all the bluster about race and gender, intellectuals are the real targets of all this. They cant come out and say it so instead they attack credibility all over the shop for institutions, universities, etc. Thiel calls for this himself in his own speaking. Attack the cathedral. I.e. the smart people and the institutions that create them.

Absolutely fair comment, but it's been a hot topic in US politics for a bit. Maybe that's social media giving more visibility to the frustrations of the people losing out, I don't know. But either way, Trump can point to a legitimate issue here that has been raised by both sides of the divide. Rightly or wrongly.
-
I didn't see the first but it was a weak second IMO. I'm not expert though. Chelsea pull one back, somehow. Both sides have been absolute shite.
-
This is like watching 5 a side in terms of ability. I appreciate that's the rain but it hardly even looks playable.
-
I'm not convinced by this sending off mind I'd have been furious if that was against us.

I'm not disagreeing on the $100k element or that Trump's policy is a corrupt nonsense that seeks only to give him further control over the tech sector. I'm not saying Trump has done anything 'good' here. I daresay businesses 'loyal' to him will continue to be exempt. All I'm saying that there was reported misuse of this cited by both Republicans and Democrats, and which has been festering - a few examples of it being a live discussion though: https://www.sanders.senate.gov/op-eds/h1-b-visas-hurt-one-type-of-worker-and-exploit-another-this-mess-must-be-fixed/?utm_source=chatgpt.com https://www.reuters.com/business/world-at-work/lawsuit-says-musks-tesla-hires-visa-holders-instead-americans-so-it-can-pay-less-2025-09-12/? https://www.politico.com/news/2024/12/29/eric-schmitt-ro-khanna-h-1b-visa-reform-00196105?utm_source=chatgpt.com

I think it's a fair question mind. I've heard stories of well trained American programmers or engineers being made to train up their Indian sourced replacements on the basis that the latter can be employed more cheaply. That shouldn't be the point of economic immigration (from the host nation's point of view), that's abuse of a system to drive wages down and understandably causes a considerable amount of frustration in the workforce. I don't think it's the same as what we had here at all - we brought in people to cover jobs we didn't have the people to do. The Americans are just expanding profit margins for people like Musk at the expense of the American worker.

Clery did a video on Villa the other day and it was pretty interesting. Only team in the top 7 divisions not to have scored yet apparently. He thinks the issue is that Emery has been worked out and that teams understand now that they shouldn't be baited in to pressing Villa so intensely, and that they should pack the middle. It seemed plausible enough but presumably Emery will work it out.

Insightful from Bruno. It's actually nice to hear that sort of intelligent perception from a player instead of "they wanted it more" or "we weren't at our best".
