That was more about indulging the part of human nature that likes to be right. As in, we all get to pat ourselves on the back at the end of January and say we were right all along. More than human nature, it's just basic forum etiquette.
-
Do you not worry though that there's just no plan for the future? Even with the natural order of the league in turmoil (and thus a good opportunity to capitalise).
-
If people were getting seriously worked up then maybe. All I've seen is people poking fun and having a moan. If we do sign someone, we can all be pleased about it. If we don't, we were right all along. It's win win.

CT - please, please don't think that Kinnear wrote those himself. It'll have been a release from the PR department that they put his name on so that it sounds like he is a) doing something and b ) knows some stuff. He isn't and he doesn't. And we know first hand that he can't form coherent sentences.

Norwich losing 2-0 in an FA Cup replay against Fulham in front of, roughly, 7 Norwich fans. Fulham did slightly better on the attendance front by the looks, managing at least double figures. More or less 12.

Debenhams is at least as poor an investment as we are

How much do you think it would take for us to be challenging for top 4? I reckon £40mil would be more than half.
-
It's more amusing to direct ire at the club though...
-
April 7th apparently. Or April 6th in the US if you fancy watching through the net.
-
So the general consensus then is that the club can fuck off until it actually signs someone.

Is it not just that they're all part of such a socially restrictive society where most people can't live up to the expectations placed upon them - so they wig out as per the above. I read that Japanese men are increasingly despondent with Japanese women, and prefer isolation - as they can't resolve the conflict between a society that expects them to be the patriarch, and an increasingly liberated female populace. (The irony being that much of the pressure to conform to the former comes from the latter). I find the latter point especially bizarre because their women look like this: NSFW Which I include merely to emphasize the point...

I'm sceptical about this because he plays in a position that no one has identified as one we really need to strengthen. Unless our policy is to buy any and all good players if we can get them cheaply, regardless of whether or not they're needed...

http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2014/jan/13/north-sea-oil-money-uk-norwegians-fund Don't know if anyone saw this - basically it's about the North Sea Oil. Norway has saved their share of it and now has the equivalent of £100,000/person in their country which they're putting towards the future. Ours would have been worth £7.5k per person, or roughly £450 billion (conservative estimate - upper estimates are £850 billion). Enough to wipe out the deficit multiple times, and rebuild the entire industrial base of this country. Our sovereign debt is £1.3 trillion - so most of that. What happened to ours? Thatcher dropped the top rate of tax from 60% to 40%, thus writing it off entirely. £180 billion in her tenure alone. £180 fucking billion. To those who support the Tories - they are laughing at you. They are laughing in your face while you scramble around trying to improve your lot in life. All the way to the fucking bank.

I thought the scenario was that the linesman didn't do anything until Jones asked him if Gouffran was offside. I think basically Jones decided that Gouffran was interfering with play, but wasn't sure if he was offside. The linesman confirmed he was offside at the time, but the interfering decision was Jones. That would tally with what Pardew said more or less anyway.

Wow... never knew that bit. Again though, why so public? To throw everyone off? Could they really be that calculating?

That's broadly been my experience as well. I had all three of the last gen consoles at one point or another and preferred the PS3. I got the Xbox first but it was so glitchy back then that mine had to be replaced by M$, and I was devastated about how poor Perfect Dark Zero was (huge fan of the original). So I traded it in after about two months and bought a PS3. Not that the PS3 was amazing either, but I don't think there's any XBox games that I feel I've missed out on.

Is that really feasible? I'm not sure it would be. ewerk mentioned in the other thread that the Jonas deal ended up with us paying £5m compensation anyway...
-
wtf at that entire exchange.
-
I agree tbh, my final statement was more of a peace offering to Des, so as to avoid any of the usual shenanigans. Good fact based argument though.
-
To be fair, that particular case is pretty abhorrent Still though, a few bad apples doesn't mean that there aren't people who genuinely need this support. It's a tough one.
-
Good point... Still, maybe if he moves there next season.
-
Yeah but that's got nothing to do with Kinnear. We could have signed Remy without him and arguably could have signed him on a much better deal (£2-3mill buyout) than we did. This squad was built by Carr and trained to the level it is by Pardew. If Kinnear actually signs someone - not someone previously lined up to buy - then we can start reviewing this. Someone already posted that he said 'judge me by my actions' and all he's done is embarrass the club to the point where, I'm quite certain, he was literally told the pipe the fuck down.
-
At least with him going to Norwich, our away fans will have an opportunity to applaud him. Awesome video too

I've heard that said but I've never come across any evidence for it. What's the basic premise? Or is it just a hunch?
